Yesterday on 11/11 I was greeted by a sweet angel who I now call a dear friend. They are now the gardian of this piece that was so special and dear to me and they’ll be using this image for their business cards to serve as a mirror for helping others.

It’s always so surreal when a piece finds a new home but this one has been awaiting the right person and timing. I couldn’t be happier with who she found. Sending many blessings to today ! So much love for you and your journey ahead.

Stoked this piece found her forever home this weekend !

I painted this for a tarot show last year and pictured my dear friend as the sweet beautiful empress. It’s new home is with such an incredible woman who truly embodies the energy of this empress card! Plus we hit some magical aligned numbers together, it was meant to be. Feeling extra grateful for this divine goddess today and the magic of this halloween weekend. 🫶🏻💙✨

A queen is born👑🐝✨

I started this piece many different times. I picked up a brush on a rainy day in college and I painted this canvas yellow not knowing what it would yet be. I picked it up again and started drawing hexagons and painting clouds two years later still not knowing what it would yet become.

After going to my first beekeeping workshop the vision came to me after I learned how bees create a new queen but I didn’t quite have the skills and know how of painting people yet, so for another year it sat and waited.

I packed it tightly, so snug up against the roof of my car laying upon all my belongings as I moved across the country to Portland. In my new studio it sat till one day I began working on how I would make this vision come to life.

As I did, she immediately found a buyer, a new home for her to sit after I finished her. But her journey still carried on as I learned so much along the way. New techniques, ways of painting people, flowers, bees and all. It took me another year to finish and now here she stands, a queen in all her glory.

Let the journey of this piece be a reminder that you can move at your own pace. Trust in the process, art is not a race to finish or a destination to reach. Move in the own cycle of your life and allow yourself to bloom when you’re ready 🌼🐝🔄

Yellow💛 the color for su***de awareness.

I painted these 30 images 7 years ago after losing my college partner to mental illness on this day 10/10/2016.
I used this project as a process to intake more yellow to provoke feelings of happiness and have the viewer do the same.
Art has always been a way of processing emotions for me so I encourage you all on this mental health awareness day to do the same.

Paint, draw, stare at some yellow, feel what you need to feel and tell the ones close to you you love them. Be there for one another even when the days are tough and the seasons change. It just might save a life 💛✨

This piece just found a new home 🐝💜✨

This is how a queen bee communicates with her hive. They circle around her and pass off the information to all the other bees like bee telephone ! After seeing this phenomenon for the first time in a hive I had a vision of this painting and created this piece about the importance of communicating with one another to co-create.

Feeling grateful this piece has found a great place to BEE :) super thankful for the support.

It’s been a year since I joined this amazing art collective when I first moved to Portland ✨
it has been my home, my community, my safe space, place of growth and place to inspire creativity in Portland. We are currently fundraising to keep it going !

All of us spend countless hours, hard earned dollars and are self run by the hands of our artists. We clean the bathrooms, the floors, run the events, doors, ticketing, etc. It’s our passion project but we need some help from the community that we’ve built to keep it going. We’ve set up a gofundme to help with operations, buying the little things that get used by guests like paper towels, toilet paper, and cups for water, we also want to continue to have larger events with paid performers, create a tarot card deck of all of our art and have merchandise that you all can rock. Wow hello hi, I haven’t posted on here in quite awhile. I’m not much of a Facebook user but I’d still love to get back to sharing what I’m doing with everyone over here. I currently now reside in Portland, Oregon and have joined an amazing art collective called The Haven. It’s been an amazing home and catalyst for my artistic journey and a great support system in moving so far from my home in Ohio.
