The human body is always honest - it shows us the cards at face value, even when the answers are the ones we don’t want to hear. Unfortunately, to address some health issues, I have decided to drop out of this weekend. To everyone running: smile😊, celebrate every mile, and soak up the unmatched Boston energy!
I will be looking forward racing in London next weekend. 💙💛

It is no secret that I believe in the power of education.
I believe in advocating for change through identifying gaps and needs in communities.
I also believe in being in the trenches — doing the work when things get hard and leaning into the things that challenge us.
I am honored to announce that I’ve accepted admission as a doctoral student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign starting this fall. 💛 I will be studying Recreation, Sport, & Tourism with a field specialization in leisure behavior. My goal is to study physical activity engagement for youth with disabilities and discover the best strategies for this specific population to get moving.⚡️
Shoutout to so many of YOU who have supported me in my academic journey! This has been a very long and careful discernment process for me. We have a long way to go but I am very eager to buckle in and to begin this journey. 🌻
