New York's Museums: American Museum of Natural History

The American Museum of Natural History is a world-renowned research and exhibition institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City. New York's Museum of Modern Art (or just the ""MoMA"") is the mother of all modern art museums.

It was founded in 1929 by Abby Aldrich Rockefeller, wife of John D Rockefeller, and two of her friends.

The main location is in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, on 53rd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

In 2021 it was the 15th most-visited art museum in the world.

New York was originally called New Amsterdam. The Dutch settled Manhattan in 1624 and for some time Manhattan was a part of the Dutch Republic.

The World's Skinniest Skyscraper is in New York City

The world's skinniest skyscraper is now open at 111 West 57th Street. It measures 1,428-foot-tall and 91 stories high, and overlooks Central Park South. It's built on a site once ownerd by the Steinway & Sons piano company, and is hence also known as the Steinway tower.
