Mabon recipes Today we will talk about recipes that are great for a mabon feast or just to welcome fall. I don't do them all at once but I do them all in the fall. I won't lie chilli is how I welcome mabon and fall. So when it comes to cooking it is a type of spellwork or witch craft on its own. With the use of herbs and spices and the intentions we put it to it, to fed our family, for them to be happy,the love we put into it. I love kitchen witch craft, it is a great way to practice and bring things to others in your family. Ok so I am going to give you a couple recipes and alot of them are ones we all make probably alot and we will start with my favorite. Chilli Chilli just screams fall to me. It is a great warm up dish, a comfort food that signals falling leaves and the season of fall. Chilli you can do alot of ways vegetarian, chicken, beef, in this recipe I will give you the base and what you can add to make it each. I love to use a crock pot for Chilli let it cook all day. If you are doing it on high about 4 to 5 hours low 6 to 7, or until meat or veggies are fully cooked and you can shredded the meat. Ingredients. Meat: chicken 2 breast, beef ether ground beef or I luke to use a London broil. For vegetarian: any kind you want, I like to use squash, Zucchini, sweet peppers, onion. About a cup of each. 1 28oz can diced tomatoes or 2 cups fresh cut. 2 8oz can tomatoe sauce 1 can rotel, or 10oz chopped green pepers and tomatoes 3 cans beans, to which ones you want is up to you, red kidney, dark red kidney, pinto, white beans, black beans. I recommend can for the beans or you will have to cook them first, but if you want dried beans you can just cook before adding. Spices I don't measure I wasn't not Taught to cook that way lol. It is to flavor and what you want. Chilli powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, (or fresh for these 2), paprika and Cayenne pepper. You can also add what ever other spices you want make it as hot or mild as you like
