Sharing simple ways to think about the earth out of Love and Appreciation as well as ways we can personally heal which I feel go hand in hand.
It’s my third year using fabric for wrapping Christmas presents! Go buy some fabric, cut it into different square sizes, and wrap! Easy as that. We fold them after using them and to me it feels like an act of gratefulness and honor as we do. The first year I was nervous that my kids would miss ripping off the paper but they really didn’t!

Had my husbands car today so I didn’t have any reusable bags with me so I just didn’t use any!! If Costco can you can. Even my cilantro is flying free!

Instead of dry shampoo: Cornstarch! Most of us have it on hand so if you want to avoid buying an aerosol can for dry shampoo then reach for your kitchen pantry!

I’ve thought lots before about our Mother Earth and the idea of the second coming of Jesus Christ. I think most Christians have the idea that all of our waste and disrespect to the earth doesn’t matter because it’s all going to be burned and made whole. When has that ever been a principle? That we do wrong in whatever way we can and then God just takes care of it? We’ll be taking care of it. We’ll be healing our Earth and cleaning up all the ways we’ve disrespected Her. Our Maker allows us that opportunity. I’m not perfect at zero waste or anything like that but I do consider Her often in what I do and it’s healing. It feels whole and right.
This scripture refers to more than the earth but to me it’s asking us have we made ditches - used the earth’s resources and built and created - and not considered the Maker? Have we considered our actions concerning the creations around us?

I love this chubby little cloth diapered baby!! I have never wanted to do cloth diapers but for some reason, on baby number 5 I actually wanted to! I love trying to create less garbage, but I do it as it feels right. It wasn't for me before but now I'm in a mindset to take on something like cloth diapering. And I'm really loving it!

Homemade baby wipes! I love them. Washcloths, hot water, Castille soap, melaleuca or clove oil, and a tiny bit of jojoba oil. Stick em in a jar and they’re good for a couple of days! I really do love using them. I feel more connected, and it reminds me to slow down a bit ❤️

This is what I LOVE to see! Say hello to our unfinished yard, but these girls are getting dirty and creating something!! A “birdhouse” to be precise. With bird couches and a bird television 😂 Yay for being outside and getting dirty and unstructured playtime! !

Anybody else have guests frequently?? 🙋🏻♀️ We have lots of family around and friends with kids so I opted for some plastic dishes over paper plates. I didn’t avoid plastic here but I did avoid garbage for every time guests come over! Plus that way we can all bond over doing the dishes

The jingling from my purse ain’t coins...it’s forks. ! Instead of using a plastic one! I feel so happy when I remember to do this ☺️🥰 someday I’ll get those fancy bamboo ones but in the meantime we’re glamming it up with our best silver🍴💃🏿

Reusable produce bags are THE BEST!! But if you don’t have them, there are a lot of fruits and veggies that don’t need bags at all! I have apples, limes, cabbage, and sweet peppers in my cart and they’re flying free!
