In 2022, Colorado passed the historic Donor-Conceived Persons and Families of Donor-Conceived Persons Protection Act.
One provision of the law requires Colorado-licensed banks, clinics, and agencies to provide written educational materials to intended parents and potential donors.
Donor Conceived Community is honored to have been selected by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Education to coordinate stakeholder feedback and submit drafts of educational materials about the implications of donor conception.
β‘ Learn more about this groundbreaking effort during our next DCC Professional Group webinar on Weds, August 7th at 3 pm Central.
We'll share what the process has been like, review the resulting materials, and discuss what happens next.
DCCPG is a learning community for interdisciplinary professionals in donor conception. Not a member yet? Join at donorconceivedcommunity.org/professionals.

Whether you're a DCP, parent, donor, or professional, we hope you've found support, community, or insight through our work.

β Thirty-four years ago today, the ADA was signed into law.
The ADA is a federal civil rights law in the US that prohibits discrimination in public transit, services and businesses, at work, and more.
β‘ We still have a long way to go to ensure equal rights for people with disabilities.
This includes donor-conceived people, gamete and embryo donors, and parents through donor conception.
DCC aims to work towards a more inclusive, supportive world for all people with disabilities.
[Image ID: A dark blue background. White text at the top of the graphic reads "On July 26th, 1990..." The next line reads "the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law." The text is surrounded by three turquoise bubbles to the top, right side, and bottom. The bottom bubble is overlaid with a bright illustration of five people, all with different skin tones, hair colors, and disability types. In the lower right corner is a black-and-white photo of disabled activists at a protest; two people at the front are sitting in wheelchairs and holding signs saying "We Shall Overcome" and "Access is a Civil Right."
