Maybe you are a little nervous before getting your first Botox treatment and are hoping a drink will calm your nerves.
Or, maybe you’re planning a boozy brunch with friends…
Whatever the reason, you need to know alcohol has blood thinning 🩸properties that make you more prone to bruising and swelling at your injection sites 🥴.
Let’s be honest - bruising can happen anytime a needle goes through the skin, but alcohol intake prior makes it that much more a possibility!
There is no hard, fast data that says when it is safe or unsafe to drink alcohol before or after a Botox procedure.
In general, if you are a light, occasional drinker, I recommend not drinking alcohol at least 24 hours prior.

Glabella, aka “11’s” (not pictured here) received additional 54 units of Dysport.

LIP FLIPPING! A lip flip procedure requires the right injection technique, the right dose, but most importantly, the right ANATOMY!
If you don’t have the lip anatomy that rolls under when you smile, a lip flip is not going to work for you.
Basically, you must have enough lip to flip for it to be successful 💋
