Comedy is the most serious emotion in the universe.

Think about it. If nature had decided not to install this wholesome act, the emotion, or the ability to accept this emotion in humans, process it in our brains, and secrete the happy hormones in our brains, mankind would have missed this greatest gift. But nature has given it to us, along with all other emotions and is saving us every day of our lives.

Comedy is the only thing that anytime creates happiness in a living thing, especially humans. And it is the most powerful thing that overshadows almost every other emotion. And we humans take it very seriously. We have succumbed to this unique emotion over many millennia, and it has become evident that without this emotion, human kind cannot survive anymore on any planet of this universe or multiverse.

And how serious this emotion called comedy is, has become evident in the last few days. The finals of the people-dearest show called ‘Cooku With Comali’ was more emotional than was it comical. Everyone in that set cried from deep of their heart, and many viewers too felt that sharp pain that it is ending. That feeling of missing it has created a vacuum in everyone’s thoughts, that isn’t easy to process for many.

And today, the death of a comedian-actor Vivek has put most of us in a startled state, that we couldn’t accept the fact that he is no more. While we are celebrating his comedies and his art, inevitably we are sincerely and most emotionally mourning him. Though he has reduced his screen time greatly, the very though that he exists among us kept us happy all these times. Now when that is challenged, the all these while comfortable brains couldn’t accept it.

Comedy isn’t something so light that it can be taken that casually. Humans have involuntarily become obsessed and extremely dependant on this emotion. Yes!

Comedy is the most serious emotion in the universe.
