💭Let me rephrase this fact: You spend 1 out of every 2 minutes doing something that you’re not even aware of. (HABITS)
🧐But why?
🧠This short answer: your brain is SO efficient & smart. Basically, it’s saving you energy!
💪How to restructure your habits & automatic behaviours? BELIEVE.
You better “believe” that habits are in fact a spiritual thing. If you BELIEVE you can, you will.
📚Studies have shown that while no particular religion helped AA (alcohol anonymous) individuals reach sobriety faster, having any sort of faith at all made a huge difference over atheists and agnostics.

💜Today we are continuing our talk on LOVE. Two days ago we spoke about the signs to look out for if there is a lack of love in your life. We ended with the question: “How can we increase our capacity TO love & to RECEIVE love?”
⭐️I have provided you with 7 ways to increase the capacity for love in your life! With the most important one being Talk to God! Do this one first & add the rest. One of these ways does not work without the rest! Love must be full!
1. Pray. Talk to God.
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6-7)
2. Read the Bible.
“We must obey God rather than any human authority” (Acts 5:29)
3. Embrace Your Weaknesses.
“My power works best in weakness. For when I am weak, then I am strong. ” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
4. Practice Gratitude.
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24)
5. Live in Community.
“Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up. But if someone is alone and falls, it’s just too bad, because there is no one to help him. If it is cold, two can sleep together and stay warm, but how can you keep warm by yourself” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)
6. Practice Forgiveness.
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32)
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven” (Luke 6:37)
7. Practice Mindfulness.
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect” (Romans 12:2)

💜Yesterday we expanded on characteristics and emotions that all of us experience when there is a lack of love in our lives.
🥺We may see these emotions & moments as weaknesses or downfalls in our lives. The more we focus on the negative, the more negative we bring into our lives.
😮Now what if I told you that these weaknesses or struggles that you are going through will bring you joy & strength into your life?
📖“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.
So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
⭐️God’s perfect grace works through/with your so-called weaknesses! Just look at one of the most iconic figures in the Bible...
🌊Moses. He had a speech problem, but with God spoke to thousands of people. He had an anger problem, but with God brought thousands of people peace.
📖“Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken." (Psalm 55:22)
✍️I know this past year has probably brought more struggle into your life than you would have ever hoped for. But let’s reflect on the good things that has come out of it! And if you cannot see any right now, I promise you that you WILL. Trust God. Give it to Him.

💭Yesterday we spoke about Faith, Hope, & Love (refer to previous post). Today I want to expand on LOVE.
💜Love is so much bigger & complex than what humans deem it to be. The book of John says that God IS love...
📖“Let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love” (1 John 4:7-9)
🤔What’s interesting about these listed signs of the “absence of LOVE (God)”... some of them correlate with certain mental illnesses if they persist for an extended period of time. These are also basic human emotions & traits that we all possess every once and a while when life gets tough.
🧠Here are some reflection questions to examine the love you give & receive:
✏️Do you have love for others? Do you put others before yourself? Do you love your friends, family, community as much as you love yourself?
📖“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves” (Philippians 2:3)
✏️Do you love yourself more than others? Is there self-absorption in your life? In a world full of selfies it is easy to become indulged in oneself & disregard others. Do you love/desire corrupt things (i.e., money)?
📖“There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God” (2 Timothy 2:1-5)
🤷♀️Now the question is... how does one increase their capacity TO love & to RECEIVE love?

🗣These three words are tossed around so much nowadays that their meaning begins to get lost.
🔋So let’s be reminded about the power behind these words...
😌Faith: is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see (Hebrews 11)
🤞Hope: this word is tricky because over the years it has lost its true meaning. Today, hope means a desire of the uncertain. But what it really mean is a strong and confident expectation (in other words, trusting God’s plan with certainty)
💜Love: is patient, kind, not envious, not boastful, not proud, does not dishonor others, not self-seeking, not easily angered, no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil, rejoices with the truth, always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
🧎♀️Meditate and reflect on these words. What do they mean to you? Do you have a twisted perception of these words? Do you have these 3 mysteries of life within you? Are you surrounded it?

🌎There is a lot of uncertainty in today’s world. We may feel like we do not have control over our lives & cannot for see a promising future.
🤲But I am here today to tell you that you DO have control. You can plan for the future. You can put your faith in something bigger and remain hopeful!
🤔We are uncertain & doubtful that things will go back to normal...
😃Let’s look at it from a glass half full perspective: things WILL go back to normal, we just don’t know when.
🍿So plan that movie marathon, or that get together with a close friend, or schedule in 20mins every day for a workout. Because your life has PURPOSE!
