Advice is to stay on top of school work as it’s a busy life being a student athlete so you must make sure you’re on top of your schooling to stay ahead. Also to make sure you’re always giving a 100% on the court or field or in any sport you end up playing.

My advice would be to make sure you like the school and program you choose just as much as the team. You can’t play college/uni vball without actually going to school so it’s important that the school is just as good of a fit as the team and coaches are.

Good luck in your season, Jamie! NWO Region is proud of you 🙌🏼

Any advice to athletes that would like to play post secondary?
Start your research as soon as possible. Coaches love to see that you invested time researching their university/team and know specifically what you want out of your university experience and why you think that that university will achieve it. It’s okay to not know what you want, but fake it til you make it.

Good luck in your season, Adyson! NWO Region is proud of you 🙌🏼

Repost from 807 Selects Volleyball Club.

Our 16u’s were in Winnipeg this past weekend playing up at the Bandits Volleyball Club 17u tournament.
They played a lot of tough teams, their limits were pushed, and they got a little better each game. Great weekend of volleyball ladies 🏐!

Posted • It wasn’t the storybook ending we imagined, but we are proud nonetheless. This team went 3-1 in pool play, finishing as the only second place team with a winning record. This put us up against the number 2 seed in the quarter finals. They were big, their fans were loud, and we battled hard. In the end it wasn’t enough and our amazing season came to a close.
Ranked 17th coming in and finishing tied for 5th is quite an accomplishment. The coaching staff is extremely proud of this group. Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it happened. Congrats to the team as well as our graduating seniors.

Posted • The 18U Boys Skills Development Team put their skills to the test this past weekend at the Minnesota North Snownami Tournament.

Finishing with a 2-1 record in pool play, these athletes brought their 🏐 skills and strong 💪, positive mindset to the court in every set! Moving on to playoffs, they came up just short in a well fought game making them hungry to get back on the court and practice.

Way to go Giants!

Posted • Your NWOSSAA champions, Westgate Tigers!!
Even though both games were 3-0 sweeps, the scores were not reflective of the competition that Fort Frances brought. These Tigers had to fight for every set and even overcame a 14-7 deficit in the 3rd set! Congrats to these girls who don’t know the definition of “lose” as every one of these athletes has won every single year of their high school careers. Off to OFSAA!!

23/02/2023

Congratulations to our very own Coach Kelly on this exciting achievement! We are proud of you!
