This is kind of food related but I wanted to share it anyway. I've designed a travel food journal which you can buy through Amazon. I'm also working on a meal planner one. So when we can finally travel again, why not take this journal and record the amazing meals you get to try. Here is the link if you're interested. :) https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09FBX6SC1/ref=cbw_us_au_dp_ags?smid=A4XRJ8S0WXSO0

MEAL PREP TIP 😀👇👍🍝🍽
Here is a great and easy tip around saving time around cooking, reducing food wastage and saving money at the same time.

Bulk cook a saucy type dish. It could plain mince or a saucy vegetables dish, whatever works for you. In this case, over the weekend, I made a tomato based fish dish with olives, vegetables and feta. I served it with a green salad and a piece of bread.

I used the left over sauce and fish and created a new dish with spaghetti which took roughly 10 minutes to prepare. Two different meals using the same base sauce. Easy and simple.

Let's talk about the healthy plate model! I think it's a great and simple guide to refer to when eating a healthy and balanced diet.

I like to break it down into 3 categories.

Vegetables, Protein and Carbohydrates.

Vegetables are lower in calories/ energy and filled with fibre and other nutrients.

Protein is great for maintaining body tissue such as muscles and helps keep you feeling fuller for longer.

Finally, carbohydrates are important as they are the main energy source for the body.

Here are some real examples. What do you guys like to make?

Have a great weekend! 🙂
