Congratulations to our next VP JD Vance!
The eclipse in Ottawa County went off without a hitch! What an amazing experience and the citizens and visitors enjoyed the day safely.
Today, Lori and I were blessed to attend the Court of Honor ceremony at Camp Perry. During the Court of Honor Alivia Ernsberger, daughter of Aaron and Anne Ernsberger was presented with her Eagle Scout award, which she has earned over the past 5 years.
I was privileged to share breakfast with our extraordinarily bright and inspiring students. It's not every day that you get to start your morning surrounded by such hopeful and vibrant young minds, and it really is a blessing.
National Breakfast Week is more than just promoting the importance of a healthy start to the day; it's also about fostering friendships and mutual respect between generations. Let's continue to support each other at breakfast and beyond!
I submitted a letter to the Ottawa County Republican Party Central Committee on February 19, 2024, addressing my concerns about J.R. Majewski's unacceptable comments.

Support our incredible K-9 team by purchasing a t-shirt! Not only will your purchase aid in their vital work, but it also plays a key role in promoting a unique and spectacular event coming this April. Wear your support and be a part of something special!
Please take a moment to remember all who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our great nation and the families who gave us these extraordinary Americans.
We are expecting beautiful weather in Ottawa County for Memorial Day weekend! I encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the lake and bbq with family and friends, but please remember to do so responsibly. Our local law enforcement will be diligent this weekend, ensuring everyone travels safely. Also, please take a moment to remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. That's what this weekend is really about. - Sheriff Levorchick
Thank you to the Put In Bay Fire Department for hosting an excellent meet and greet last week.
Sheriff Levorchick with Sergeant Rob Russell. Sergeant Russell was recognized today at the annual Port Clinton Kiwanis Law Enforcement recognition luncheon. Rob was voted Deputy of the Year by his peers for 2023. Congratulations, Sergeant Rob Russell!
Today, I had the honor to join Chief Deputy York, Captain Leist, Chief Dave Scott of the Port Clinton PD, and Mark Anderson of PCPD for breakfast with the students at Bataan Elementary. It is National School Breakfast Week.
What a great time! It really was a great turnout and I’m delighted so many enjoyed my chili. There were a lot of excellent choices to choose from.
Thank you to the Port Clinton News Herald for this article on our new child ID program. If you would like an ID for your child, please contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department at 419-734-4404 to schedule an appointment.
Sheriff Levorchick launches child ID program Parents may contact sheriff's office to fill out a card for their children now
This weekend, Lori and I celebrated Reindeer Day at Hopfinger Zimmerman Park along with many kids and members of our community. We also had members of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and both K-9 units helping with demonstrations and showing our vehicles.
We would like to thank Jack and Lorraine Zimmerman for always giving to our community through their park!
Today, four members of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and I were honored to help serve lunch to the Ohio Air Guard Red Horse Battalion and their families for their Christmas Party. The gathering was held at the Camp Perry clubhouse. Thank you Red Horse for allowing us to honor you.
Last week I was able to attend the Ohio Republican Party candidate bus tour in Lucas County. Governor DeWine and I had an opportunity for a brief conversation. Cannot wait to congratulate Governor DeWine and all candidates in attendance on their victories tomorrow evening.
A little over a month ago, I was invited to be a part of a group that donated 20 helmets and bikes to kids participating in a bicycle safety day at Hopfinger Zimmerman Memorial Park. Receiving this sweet letter reinforces how important it is for all of us to capture these moments where we can connect with our youth and positively impact them.
If you’re not familiar with the Ottawa County Drug-Free Collaborative, they are the Ottawa County Prevention Coalition. You can learn more about them at www.ocprevention.com or like their page. This event was a great collaboration between our resource providers and those in recovery who shared inspiring stories. So many people from our community came out to support those in recovery and those fighting addiction. Remember addiction doesn’t discriminate against anyone, and we are here to help. If you or anyone you know is struggling with addiction, please reach out my office or call the number at www.mhsosw.org and they will help connect you with the right resources.
Proud to support our Ottawa County Ohio Republican Party!
I had the honor to join J.R. Majewski and Leader McCarthy for a tour of Crown Battery and then a great roundtable discussion at CIC. Our community is definitely on the national map to care for our resources.
Today, the Ottawa County Park District, Ottawa County Health Department, The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, and Hopfinger Zimmerman Memorial Park hosted a bicycle safety day.
Twenty kids were pre-registered for the bicycle safety day, where there were instruction stations that educated the kids on the importance of being responsible riders.
All 20 children in attendance received brand new bicycles and helmets through my support and the support of Hopfiner Zimmerman Memorial Park.
Seeing Jack and Lorraine Zimmerman's vision come to life in our beautiful Hopfinger Zimmerman Memorial Park is a blessing. I am grateful for all they have done and continue to do.
Today, we will help lay another hero to rest. Clark County Deputy Matt Yates was killed in the line of duty on July 24, 2022.
I am blessed to be a part of a team that helps care for and put our heros to rest after they have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Rest in peace Deputy Yates, we've got it from here.

Always a great time at the Ottawa County Fair! The fair runs though this Sunday. Be sure to stop out and support our local ag community!
Thank you to JD Vance for asking to meet with me to discuss issues facing law enforcement today. His willingness to listen and understand challenges faced by law enforcement should be an example to all of Washington D.C. Also, thank you to Jill Steinbaugh for joining our discussion and supporting our efforts throughout Ottawa County.
Last week I had the opportunity to meet LtCol Stuart Scheller at an event in support of JR Majewski for Congress. He is a highly decorated Marine and a true patriot. Kudos to JR Majewski for an excellent event and all the hard work he and his team are doing to make him our next congressman.
Happy 4th of July weekend, everyone! As we head into this long holiday weekend, be safe handling fireworks, and please be considerate of your neighbors. I hope everyone has a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends!
My wife Lori and I were honored to serve our heroes. There are so many who have stepped and given so much for all of us. It is an amazing event to be a part of!
Last week I hosted my annual Sheriff Levorchick Golf Scramble. The heatwave for the outing was unreal, and I can't thank all my supporters enough for beating the heat and making the year's event another huge success!
