How long until we admit our brokenness to find that it’s there that we experience real healing and full joy and contentment and true love?
Inviting you to decide and say:
Today, I will not hinder myself from freedom by believing that lie about myself or lying to myself. I am broken, I am mended and made whole in Christ [and my acknowledgment of that doesn’t change the truth of it, it causes me to become greater, stronger and more empowers in Jesus]. His glory is the end, not my struggle to be perfect or liked.

And then tomorrow I will do it again.

I wonder what would happen if we all took care of ourselves because we love ourselves, not because we were trying to change ourselves.

What would it look like to operate in freedom, not condemnation, and go workout. Or be satisfied w your body and go on a run. Or go to a yoga class for the fun of it.

What if taking care of yourself had nothing to do with striving to change yourself?

Been thinking about the beauty of hidden efforts. When something you do doesn’t have to be flaunted to have worth. It’s so routine for us to share every moment, achievement or event w people.
Have we created the value of an accomplishment to come from everyone around us being aware of it?
Wondering what in my life is sacred enough to be excused from all the pressure to prove. What can be hard and just be hard?

6 tips for running!

1. Variety. Including variety like intervals, slow and long runs, weight training, tempo runs, etc. will make you a better & faster runner!

2. When you run at different paces it should require different levels of effort- run your fast ones fast and your slow runs slow.

3. Listen to your body. We hear this a lot but if your not able to preform well the run you planned on that day, give yourself grace, adjust, and do it tomorrow!

4. Consistency. You can adjust yes, but keep structure and routine to create consistency and you will see improvement!

5. Accountability. Having friends or role models to encourage you along the way is a game. changer. These are people who challenge you, don’t let you settle, and support you in reaching your goals. They are not scared of hard things.

6. Playlists! Running to a good playlist or podcast is always stimulating- also you might like running w headphones in, or you may prefer music playing directly from your phone. This is nice to be aware of your surroundings and avoid the discomfort of ear buds.

Running tips that cost you nothing!

1. Plan your route
You’ll soon find that you prefer an out and back route type or a circle route- if your a creature of habit, you might find your fav trail and run the same run. If you need variety, you can change it up and spend your run discovering new trails.

2. Explore!!
Whether you need variety or not, going on “explore” runs takes your mind off the running and onto where you are, where you want to go, and the beauty around you along the way!

2. Look around you
If you decide on an out and back route for your run, pay attention to roadmarks and look for them on your way back. This also helps take your mind off of running and onto what’s around you.

3. Make a fun playlist to run to
Spotify has playlists based on the pace you want to run which is helpful in keeping a steady split time!

4. Headphones or no?
If headphones bother you- either put a headband around your ears to keep them secure, or run with music playing directly from your phone.

5. Miles or minutes?
You might find that running for an hour is easier than running 6/7 miles, you might be the other way around. Try both and see what’s more encouraging to you when you glance at your watch.

6. Friends!!
Accountability and community- finding friends to go w you is a game changer! Your friends are looking for accountability just as much as you are- ask them to join you in doing something hard together! It won’t be long before you can carry the same conversation you would have over coffee during your run!

ps. my best friends are the people in my life that push me to do hard things- like running! Their lives reflect discipline, passion, and joy and there always down for any challenge & that’s why I love them!!

Prioritizing health doesn’t have to cause you anxiety, obsessive behavior, or a mind consumed by food.

Read that again.

Have you become so concerned with attaining “health” that unhealthy tendencies, like anxiety, have subconsciously crept in?

Anxiety is more detrimental than the grams of sugar in your smoothie. Anxiety over food is more unhealthy then pleasantly enjoying a brownie with your friends.

So, what does healthy/unhealthy really mean?

Healthy: living a balanced lifestyle
Unhealthy: having a mind constantly consumed with what you are going to eat
Healthy: eating when you are hungry, not eating when you are full
Unhealthy: being anxious about the amount of calories in your food
Healthy: taking care of your body by feeding yourself food that will benefit you mentally and physically
Unhealthy: restricting yourself and believing healthy must mean strenuous and unenjoyable

When creating your definition of what is healthy and unhealthy for you, remember:
• Too much of anything is unhealthy
• Health is not “attained” it is a life long commitment
• Do not be anxious for anything (Philippians 4)
• Food has no power over you
• Its not worth your time mentally or physically; there are people around you who need you to be present
• “Health” is just making habits that reflect the lifestyle you were always meant to live

We are already made whole through His sacrifice. No experience, accomplishment, person, or feeling can complete you and I.

Broccoli Kale Crust Pizza 🥦🥬
This is one of my go to meals every week! It’s quick & easy to make, Vegan (if you want) & sooo yummy!😋
Ingredients:
- Broccoli Kale crust from
- Spinach
- Tomato
- Zucchini
- Onion
- Green bell peppers
- Banana peppers
How to make:
- Bake crust upside down on _____ degrees for 10 minutes
- Put all veggies in a bowl while the crust bakes & toss them in a little olive oil
- Take out of the oven, place all the toppings on the crust
- Add seasoning (I use no salt Italian garlic seasoning & pepper)
- Bake another 10 minutes
- Broil on low for 5 mins for a crispier crust
- Add hot sauce if you want & ENJOYYY.
I seriously eat this almost every week because it’s so delicious. If you make it, tag us!! I’d love to see what ideas you come up with!! Best advice — be creative! Use the toppings you love & maybe try something on it that you normally wouldn’t!

Fun fact I just learned — apparently your brain breaks down the carbs in toast just the same as it does with the carbs in an apple... in other words, don’t be afraid & eat both! 😍🍞🍎

Green Machine Smoothie 🌿🌱
This smoothie is packed with all of the good things to get your body going in the morning! It’s incredibly refreshing & it honestly brought me back to my time in Hawaii! 🌞
The 3 BIG greens — KALE, Zucchini, Avocado! 🥑🥬🥒
Apple, avocado, spirulina, cauliflower, banana, (optional pineapple, lemon or mango)
Almond butter powder, flax seeds, chia seeds, water or macadamia nut milk
Topped with organic granola, banana, dates & honey!🍯
I used to be so “scared” of eating too much fruit in one day because of all the sugar & carbs.. BUT those are natural sugars & carbs that your body needs!✨
The more you eat of a certain food, the more your body craves it! I can’t imagine not eating fruit all day!🥭🍊🍓

Homemade Almond Butter
- Roast 3 Cups of Almonds at 350 degrees in the oven for 9 minutes, tossing halfway through!
- Put them into a food processor & run it on high for 15-20 minutes!
- Add some honey & cinnamon within the last couple of minutes!
THAT’S IT! Making your own almond butter is such a great way to save money & it’s 100000000x better in taste!!😋

Crispy Sweet Potato Fries!🍟
1 sweet potato
1 Tbsp if olive oil (toss)
Coat in garlic dash seasoning
Add some salt & pepper
Add some Vegan (or regular) parmesan 🧀

Cook on 400 degrees in an air fryer for 18 mins! Flip half way through!

Strawberry Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes for Valentine’s Day brunch! 🥞🌹❤️
These mouth watering pancakes are Paleo, being free of gluten, dairy & processed sugars!

Pancakes (makes 6-7 minis or 3-4 larger pancakes!):
3/4 C Gluten-free pancake mix
2/3 C oat milk
A few bake believe no sugar added dark chocolate chips
Sprinkle in some cinnamon
