Queen's Park hosts menopause awareness events - Bedford Independent Queen's Park Community Centre hosted two community events in October with the aim of giving guidance and support to underrepresented...
Our last event was a great success, we have our final and last event this Thursday.
As mentioned, it's great to have Liz Cunningham from Menopause Reality, she brought in VR headsets to share real-life stories of menopause. It's always helpful to have resources that provide a better understanding of what women experience during menopause. Menopause Reality
It was wonderful to have the support of Cllr Nesreen Akhtar for the Menopause Alliance event, and she played a key role in making it a huge success. Her passion for supporting women, particularly older women struggling with menopause, is truly inspiring. We are also grateful for the continued support of outstanding councillors like Nesreen Akhtar and Lucy Bywater, who have always shown genuine interest in providing adequate healthcare for older women. However, it's unfortunate that not all the councillors we approached were as supportive and helpful. We hope that other elected members will join the fight for adequate healthcare for older women soon.
Will be missed, known to many as Mrs Parchi from St Joseph's School. Rip
