Beauty from Ashes

This coffee table turned out so gorgeous. One person's trash is another person's treasure. I love that I could bring new life to this piece so it can be showcased in its new home.

I removed the broken glass top and cut the wood top to size. Making the wood top was such a breeze. This table was a great piece as it was solid wood with no veneer in sight! And the wood grain on the bottom slats were just beautiful.

This beauty had so much potential despite the broken glass top. One lucky client trusted me with refinishing it for them and it turned out so stunning!

After 4 months, my entryway table is complete! It took me a while to decide on the exact look I wanted for it, and I had to redo/change course twice. But I LOVE how it turned out and how the colors compliment each other and my living space. The drawer pull took me a couple tries to get the look how I wanted as well, but my homemade drawer pull turned out great and suits the piece so well. 😊🖤🥰

I finally got around to refinishing my own entryway table. I hope to reveal it tomorrow! It is looking so good! 🥰

I couldn't be more happy with how this antique turned out! It has come a long way from the dark stain covered in grease, dirt, grime, paint, wallpaper, and cobwebs. Without doing too much to the build of the piece, I added a support beam and diy drawer slide to keep the drawer from dipping down, and I made the custom drawer and cabinet pulls. The metal door plates were cleaned up and then shined up for a patina look. I'm so glad this piece can see new life for another hundred years to come!

Let's talk about this little piece I did. That leg was chewed up by the previous owner's dog. I could have done some repair with molding but I chose a different route to chop the base off, added some KwikWood followed by their multi-purpose putty and I just sculpted away to achieve my desired look for the leg and the other 3 to match. It turned out pretty sweet if I do say so myself!

Creativity for charity! Worked on these the past 2 weeks for my lovely friend's school gala/auction tomorrow evening. They turned out so sleek and stunning. I cannot wait to see them staged in their new home! 🖤

Approximately 140 years of dirt and grime on this vintage piece cabinet. My steamer came in handy to clean away some of the grime before sanding the shelves down. There's still more cleaning, sanding, and repairing to go but these shelves are looking so fresh and clean!

This showstopper would be sure to make a statement in someone's home. This transformed hutch went from drab to fab! Elegantly painted in black. The door fronts was a new technique to cover over with burlap and then paint in black. The backing was sanded down and stained with a tanwash to lighten the piece. The upper hutch was missing a shelf that I build to fill the spacing. And for added touch, a wireless light bar was installed that is motion sensored and rechargeable. This could be the perfect piece to store precious valuables.

Just received a commissioned piece to refinish/restore this pie safe cabinet. This thing is an antique but solid. According to my Google search, it is from the 1800s. I hope to do this piece justice and give it new life.

I've had this cedar chest for 3.5 years now and FINALLY got around to refinishing it for my space. I love how it turned out. From taking my jigsaw to refiguring the base and removing the veneer from the base. Had to deodorize 2 of the legs from cat odor that was embedded in the wood unknowingly to me from the previous owner which became exposed after cutting the wood. Removed the applique and decorative from the front. I love the soft tones which will compliment my space after the hallway is redone. I'm not sure if I'll add something to the front of the chest after the backdrop is complete. I also had to replace the hinge with another cedar chest hinge I have in my garage since that one was warped and hindered from a smooth opening and closing. I just love how this turned out and the pop of color from the cedar with some hydrating furniture oil is just stunning.

Ending 2023 with the reveal of the dining set. This piece was a long one in the making. I had a lot of fun bringing this piece new life for my client and their growing family. The dining bench was a fun one to break out the sewing machine for and the writing on the fabric is a perfect representation of them. I hope this table brings more laughter and memories for years to come.

This curbside find was waiting to be brought back to life! It is the perfect solid wood drop leaf table for a small eating area measuring 3 ft by 50 in with leaves open and 18 inches long with them closed. It stands 30 in tall. It only needed minor repairs and a fresh look, but it is ready to be loved in its new home!
