This is the window where the water will be distributed.
As of Saturday we have clean water up at the road and to the cistern! Next week it will be available to the community through the window!

Below are some recent pictures of conduit being run to house the electrical. While it has been a lengthy process, these are some of the final steps toward making the well operational. The conduit for electrical and pipe for water are being buried and run from the well to the cistern to the road.

Great news! The well is finished and produces about 150 gallons per minute! Next step is to install the pump and pipe.
Some exciting news! Water has been found at 700 feet and waiting on flow and purity tests to complete.
Great progress continues. Drilling is at 400 feet with some small amounts of water located.

After many years in the making, the agreement has been signed with the well company and work has begun building the road to access the well site. As you can see in the pictures they are using heavy equipment and even dynamite to get through the rocks. The road is about complete.
The well is scheduled to begin construction in the next 2-3 weeks.

We have some great news to share. We have raised enough money to start construction on the Well! We can't wait to post additional updates as the construction begins. It has been a 2+ year journey and so many of you have helped financially, with sharing the story and sharing your talents. Stay tuned as we will post updates as there is more to share. What a great bit of news here before Christmas!

We are still raising funds for the well. We have a ways to go still but are thankful for all of the support to date.
The hydrogeological survey, which checks for well suitability, was completed recently with positive results!

A look at the kitchen being constructed at the site location of the well!
Did you know that the latest published information on access to clean water published in 2019 by WHO and UNICEF show that in 2017: Globally, more than 785 million people did not have access to at least basic water services and more than 884 million people did not have safe water to drink?
By supporting this project you can play a role in improving these numbers!
