As we continue to pray for the Hansrod family
It is with great sadness that the MCSA learnt of the passing of Tanya Hansrod, The General Secretary, Rev Michel Hansrod’s wife, after a long battle with cancer.
Our deepest condolences to Rev Hansrod and Tamia and the greater family. May Tanya’s dear soul rest in peace and rise in glory.
Please hold the Hansrod family in your prayers.
Below is the message received from the family this morning:
Dearest Family and Friends
It is with great sadness that we announce the Passing into Victory of our Beloved, Wife, Mother and Sister, Tania this evening.
Tania has bravely, courageously and boldly waged a 13 Year Long battle with breast cancer which over the years had metastasized through her body infecting her lungs, liver, bones, bone marrow and brain. Through this journey Tania exceeded all the Doctors expectations.
Through these last few years when everyone was sure that she would not make it, she would miraculously bounce back.
Even as the cancer spread, she kept beating the odds in terms of medical expectations and surprising everyone with her sheer strength. She did this securely grounded in her faith in the Healing of her Lord and Savior. She never doubted the power of her Redeemer and with complete confidence exercised her faith.
She was a true warrior in every sense, right up until this morning vowing that she would conquer the Evil Disease of Cancer and not allow it to quench her Spirit and her Soul. Whilst her body wasted away and disease ravished her physical being, her Spirit grew until she conquered that final enemy of death and landed safely on the bosom of her Lord, no doubt welcomed by her Mom and Dad and all our Loved Ones who have gone before.
She has over the past few days held tightly onto a Cross she received from our German Friends who visited with us a week ago symbolizing her lifelong Spiritual Journey of “Clinging to the Cross”. We know that for Tania the words expressed by Paul in his 2nd Letter to Timothy in Chapter 4:7-8 holds true for her too “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only for me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing”
After slipping into a coma yesterday, Tania passed on peacefully surrounded by Tamia and I and our family, on the 13th Anniversary of her Breast Cancer diagnosis.
She has conquered the final enemy called death and we thank God that for her there shall be no more pain, nor fears or tears for her the tribulations of this world are over and death is past.
Tamia, I and our family remain deeply indebted to all who have journeyed with us over the past 13 Years as Tania valiantly, courageously and with resilience challenged Cancer. Your prayers, support, love and care has strengthened and carried us and for that we are eternally grateful!
May Tania Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory!!!
