This is my daughter, Angie Barlow.
At 23, Angie was a dancer.
She was lured into working a private party, she was lied to by the lady throwing the party.
Angie was set up.
The early morning hours of 10/27/16, Angie disappeared.
Angie’s body would be discovered via tip to IMPD 8mo later on 6/20/17.
Angie’s body had been buried in a 5ft grave in a small wooded area in an Indianapolis neighborhood.
Angie had been brutally murdered.
I had to identify what was left of my beautiful baby girl after she spent 8mo in the ground.
There is a lot of evidence.
I have personally received tips that have been handed over to the police.
Yet, her murderers still continue to walk free and even profit off of her disappearance/murder.
I am making it my life’s mission to see to it that my daughter receives the justice she deserves.

MISSING since August 21, 2021 (over a year)
James was helping his friend Tony move from Nevada to Mississippi, when they got a flat tire in AZ in-between Kingman & Wickenberg on Hwy 93 the weekend of Aug 21 & 22 2021. James's was left with trailer, box truck & dog (Penny ) on the side of the hwy, while Tony left in the chevy truck to go get the tire to the trailer fixed. He decided not to return for James & Penny till the following day.
According to the original police reports, the vehicle broke down at mile marker 158, which is where Anthony left James and Penny to get a spare tire for replacement. This was confirmed by the police report and Anthony's first interaction with the police.
Before 4 a.m., James Daniels, Penny, and the box truck drove from mile 158 to mile 164 towards Wickenburg. For unknown reasons, the truck pulled to the side of the road between mm 164 and 165, blocking the southbound lane. At 4:09 a.m. on August 22, calls were received at that location describing a disoriented, agitated man standing in the middle of the road holding a dog.
There were four 911 callers that morning, all of whom described James as disoriented, shaken, and agitated. One caller said that James kept repeating "I don't believe it" and the last 911 caller told dispatch that when she told him she would send help, he responded with "someone else said they would send help to" and she told him to get out of the middle of the road and sit on the shoulder.
DPS officers left Kingman at 4:24 a.m. and arrived at 4:49 a.m. to find a box truck and a dog running around the road. The deputy who responded attempted but failed to capture the dog. He checked the area and drove down the road in both the north and south lanes to try to find the driver; he did not find anyone; he also did not notice any other vehicles or people nearby.

On October 13, 2016, the Kokomo Police Department initiated a missing person case. The family of 18-year-old Karena McClerkin reported that she had been missing since October 11, 2016. Subsequent investigation revealed that Karena was last seen at a residence in the 1000 block of South Washington Street Kokomo, Indiana.
Since the time of the initial report, investigators of the Kokomo Police Department have continuously followed up leads and information. This investigation has remained ongoing.
In the fall of 2021, investigators received additional information about Karena McClerkin’s disappearance as well as the events that took place the following day. After receiving this information, additional investigative efforts were pursued along with the assistance of the Indiana State Police.
These investigative techniques resulted in an affidavit being submitted to the Howard County Prosecutor’s Office. On July 18, 2022, an arrest warrant was issued for Flint V. Farmer, 57-years-old of Kokomo, Indiana, for one count of Murder. Flint Farmer was located at a residence in the 600 block of South Purdum Street that same day, and he was taken into custody.
As the investigation continued, on the evening of July 18, 2022, investigators followed evidence which led to a rural area of Miami County as a possible location of the deceased body of Karena McClerkin. A scene was established and secured that evening.
Investigators of the Kokomo Police Department, Indiana State Police and Miami County Coroner’s Office began long and methodical processing of this scene that lasted until the following evening of July 19, 2022. This scene processing resulted in the discovery of what appeared to be human skeletal remains. These remains were secured by the Miami County Coroner’s Office pending autopsy.
This autopsy was scheduled for July 22, 2022 at the Howard County Coroner’s Office and performed by a forensic pathologist. While the recovered remains were determined to be human, the identity of the person was pending. The specific cause and manner of death is still being examined and a report pending by the Miami County Coroner’s Office and forensic scientists.
The Indiana State Police Laboratory was requested to examine evidence specifically to identify the human remains. On the morning of August 5, 2022, the Kokomo Police Department received a Certificate of Analysis from the Indiana State Police Laboratory which made a positive DNA identification of the recovered body as being that of Karena McClerkin. The immediate family has been notified of the identification.
Again, the Kokomo Police Department extends its gratitude to all of the aforementioned agencies who have assisted, and continue to assist, with this investigation.
This case remains active for investigation. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Lieutenant Richard Benzinger at 765-456-7324 or the Kokomo Police Department Hotline at (765) 456-7017. You may qualify for a cash reward by calling Central Indiana Crime Stoppers at 1-800-262-TIPS with your anonymous tip.
