Well Sunday 10th July is the 1st round of the winter series at kartsport southland.
Last year was a frozen track so hopefully not this year.
So kart 75 is ready
Kart 96 driven by nikia and Charlotte is almost ready but will be by Sunday.
So roll on Sunday

Well Saturdays quick test over kart went well in damp-wet conditions so looking forward to Sunday

Kart 96 was also out driven but both drivers that look comfortable for Sundays conditions

Well the 1st round and 2nd round of mainland series got under way.
So with van (my dad's) all loaded up we set off to nelson.
So with race order up (no tuning run) we were ready.
Track looked nice but it was cold and damp.
We were last out still slippery and I got tangled up as a driver spun and hit me hard Bent new axle.
So fitted new axle made race 2 got hit off track but raced to the end still learning track.
Race 3 pretty much the same deal got hit.
Race 4 was eventful I found some speed and had to much grip as I entered hairpin the kart hopped but I kept my foot hard on gas witch made me run wide.
I put right tyre on wet grass and I hit the fence really hard. I was glad to be wearing my neck brace only got sore ribs,arm and leg. Trip to ambulance given ok to carry on.
Back in pit box things didnt look right on kart so after looking found engine had moved and seat surport had bent. Missed last race trying to fix kart for Marlborough.
Sunday in Marlborough looked to be a great day
Race1 kart felt ok but something wasn't right after race had a look over found crack in chassis my day over.
If I had carried on there would of been a different story. Kart is repairable.
I really enjoyed my weekend racing it didn't pan out the way I wanted it but that's racing, the mainlands champs is a long one so only up from now on. Thanks to my family and the people that have helped me.

Very strange week leading up to race meeting kartsport Invercargill. My crazy mate from kaitaia popped down to say hi.
I injured my arm.
But race day came and we had rain in the night but looked good for the day after a cold start to the day the sun was trying to come out so me Joel Charlotte and nikia got ready for the day Charlotte and nikia had a great day believe they really enjoyed it. On the other side of the tent kart 75 had probably it's worse day 😊 1st the axle broken killing the rear gear then chain wasnt happy but the driver of kart 75 fitted the gear wrong in a rush to get out. We made out for heat 3 and the chain come off and heat 4 the choke on the carb fell shut stopping the kart in its tracks heat 5 we completed the whole race kart felt fast.
All in all funny race meeting

What can I say about Dunedin night race well it was a blast seeing karts with under glows was so cool.
Was a great night racing I finished 2nd overall and won some tyres
Can't wait till the next meeting in the dark

Driver 75 has COVID so time off work. With that said we sorted tyres and rims and started to put together the maranello
