I have one lot of 16 Devil Sticks. 2 Trigon, 1 Iridescent - the rest are an older style vinyl tape decoration - combinations of Black, White, Yellow, Green. $320 for the entire lot ($20 each). These are unused. All are same quality as our standard sticks - hardwood, rubber ends and each come with a set of Silicone Rubber coated Handsticks. A number of jugglers asked to see a photo of the new 72mm Exerballs. Below is a photo of 3 in Red. Lower left is a standard beanbag, lower right is an 80mm Stage Ball which is also filled and used for our standard Exerball. As you can see, the new 72mm Exerball is just slightly larger than a beanbag - a very comfortable size many have asked for over the years. I have approximately 400 of these. I just located tubing for Silicone Handsticks in WHITE in our inventory. This had been disabled from the website. Many of you who recently ordered Devil Sticks or handsitcks with woodcore only had the Black option. I have enabled White woodcore handsticks on all Devil Sticks and also for handsticks ordered separately on the website.

I have approximately 500 Exerballs in a unique, smaller size than our standard 80mm (3.1 inches). Over the years many have asked for a smaller size that is closer to a standard ball/beanbag for easy handling. They were custom produced but never listed on our website. The size for this product is 2.75 inches. I have these in Red at 1.35 lb (620 gm). The price is $36 per set of 3 (20% than the standard 80mm ball). Bulk order discounts available. Dubé Juggling is closing. Retail sales will go on as usual as long as inventory lasts. Phone orders are welcome since inventory levels are very low - the website may not be precisely up to date. I will be selling bulk lots of entire product inventories - discounts may be available. I am also open to sale of the entire inventory or the business as an operating entity which would include: inventory, licensing the brand name, domain name, website and tooling/molds, customer lists, supplier lists, Etsy Shop, manufacturer and product sources, product drawings, manufacturing processes and myself on a consulting basis. This would also include everything necessary to revive out of production items such as silicone balls.

I am also selling the entire inventory for TrooHoops or the business as an operating entity, either with Dubé Juggling or separately. This includes tubing in multiple sizes, colors and materials, tapes, snap buttons, couplers, fixtures, custom taping machine. As with Dubé Juggling, the sale of TrooHoops as an ongoing business would include licensing the brand name, domain name, website, customer list, supplier list, manufacturer and product sources and myself on a consulting basis if desired.

I was born in Eagle Lake Maine on July 26, 1951. This was a very small town In the most rural area of Maine - only 20 miles from the Canadian border. 50% of the town speaks French - many of the region's residents speak French as their first language, as did mine. The French spoken is Franglais, owing to it's poorly educated population. There was only one school in Eagle Lake, grades 1-8 in one room, one grade per row. No high school, no college. Most men were taken out of school young for work. My father was 10 when he already had a rifle and was hunting. He finished 6th grade, one brother only 4th.
As my mother told it, I was born in a Catholic hospital - surprising such a place existed. I was a Caesarean birth with my mother in twilight sleep. I was her first.
I was born on St. Anne's feast day (her exact birthday is unknown). According to apocrypha, as well as Christian and Islamic tradition, Saint Anne was the mother of Virgin Mary and thus the maternal grandmother of Jesus. She is the patron saint of housewives, unmarried women, women in labor, grandmothers, cabinet makers, horseback riders and miners.
The nuns in the hospital came to my mother and made a big deal of my birth - telling her that to be born on St Anne's feast day was verty fortuitous and that I would be lucky for my entire life. And looking fairly at my life, I have been blessed with much good fortune. Thanks all for the birthday wishes - it means a lot and I read through all of them.

So it appears to be true - more trouble for Amazon sellers. In response to Temu (the most downloaded app in 2023), Amazon is competing in direct from China products at insanely low prices. If you are not familar with Temu, it is an online company, based in China that offers heavily discounted products, shipped factory direct to consumer. They also have negotiated incredibly cheap shipping prices - the downside is longer shipping times. But most customers are willing to wait for the incredible deals they offer - like a smart watch for $7. Amazon has now decided to compete, which is big trouble for merchants who buy in China (like Alibaba) and sell on Amazon. Making matters worse, Amazon will even compete directly against their sellers - find a product and Amazon will advertise their deeply discounted version on the same page. I just was researching neck fans and found pages of them at prices as low as $1.41. These were $30 - $40 last year. Products coming in via this new program can be identified by the delivery time which will be 2-3 weeks rather than the typical 1-2 days for products shipped with their Prime service. To succeed in the product business, you need products that are proprietary and/or customized.

I recently discovered a number of videos of Jack Stanford, sometimes described as the "elastic dancer" etc. Most of the videos are from the 1930s with some going back even earlier. I have written before about entertainment value vs extraordinary skill and those few who have it all. I can only imagine if Jack was "packaged" and produced today how incredibly successful he would be - easily a feature in a Cirque show.

I recently came across a small lot of ferrules required to make the two-piece spinning plate handsticks which have been out of stock for several years. I have assembled 50 sets - these are the standard product I was making for decades: original two-piece hardwood handstick set - sticks are fitted with plated brass ferrules (male/female), allowing for easy disassembly for packing or traveling. One stick has a tapered end spinning; the other is rounded for hand comfort. Each stick is 15 inches in length, 30 inches when assembled. $12 per set plus shipping. No extensions are available. Actor Peter Scolari passed yesterday at age 66, may he RIP. A search will return numerous articles about his life, acting credits, etc. He was best known for his roles in Bosom Buddies, Newhart and Honey I Shrunk the Kids. However, what not many know, is that Peter was an avid juggler and lover of related arts (he named one of his kids Keaton). For years he hosted the TV show Circus of the Stars, something also not commonly found in media. I had a close relationship with Peter when he lived in NYC. He visited my office on numerous occasions, my home and we spent time together at juggling festivals. He was always so respectful of the talents of others and in particular was in awe of great jugglers and their skills. He would frequently buy Stage Balls from me and give them to people he taught on various TV sets.
In 2009, we recorded his visit (with his son Keaton) in the showroom of my juggling facility at 520 Broadway in NYC. Most of the articles in the media regarding his passing use his various headshots. Instead, I chose this video - for those of us who knew him as a juggler, that is how he will be remembered ....

An FYI concerning Dubé Juggling during this Covid-19 crisis. I am still making equipment, processing and shipping orders. I work alone, both in my home office and warehouse where I go once a week to fulfill orders. Packages are dropped at the USPS loading dock.
