We are saddened to announce due to circumstances out of our control we need to cancel the Bling & Barrels Summer Series.

Drum Roll..... we proudly announce that this year's summer series will be affiliated with the Australian Barrel Horse Association (ABHA).

Dates of the series:

9-10 December at Stanthorpe
6-7 January at Stanthorpe
3-4 February arena to be confirmed

Full ABHA membership and attendance at 4 of the 6 events will be required to qualify for End of Series Points/Prizes. Day membership competitors are welcome at all of the Jackpot events.

Bling & Barrels are fundraising for our end-of-year Summer Series (Dates and Venues to be confirmed in the coming weeks), and we are excited to announce that our current raffle is for a 4-night stay at Seaworld Resort in a premium double view room for 2 adults and 2 children.

Open to everyone, please share far and wide so we can draw this amazing Raffle :)

The Bling & Barrels team would like to say a huge thank you to all competitors, spectators and volunteers that attended Evandale Arena yesterday to contribute to a successful Barrel Race!!

A special mention to the one and only Mic man Michael Sanford for his exceptional announcing, you are amazing and keep the atmosphere light-hearted and fun, Our timekeeper Hayden Sanford, our hand timer/judge Narelle Sanford, our Arena Drag Rowan Harland who kept the arena in amazing shape for a total of 200 barrel runs for the weekend. Our Arena Marshall who kept the riders flowing but not pressured to hurry Trevor Easey, Big T Welding (Tony Hill & Kathy Moses) for the Generator so Wywurri catering could operate, and campers also had the option of power. Country Lei Photography for the amazing photos to come and your never-ending help, and last but not least our small committee that banded together to have these events while also competing.

For anyone that offered your help, picked up a drum, or collected a hat – we see you and please know that we are very appreciative of your offer or quick response to help. As a small team, you have helped in a huge way.

We would also like to mention that we thank you all for leaving the arenas the same way we find them, you all make it very easy that there is so little work to do afterward. By doing this it allows us to return to these arenas in the future.

Congratulations to all Winners and Placegetters – it was a great day to watch some spectacular barrel racing. Hope to see you all at Stanthorpe on the 10th and 11th of June; details will follow once we work out a program.

We have secured another date to hold an ABHA Finals Qualifier event in the SE Qld Region.

Please see the poster for all details - This event will be held at the Evandale Arena which is located 30klm out of Warwick towards Goondiwindi. Hope to see you all there for an amazing day of Barrel Racing!

P.S. NBHA D9 will host an event at the same venue the day prior!

With much sadness we must announce due to weather outside of our control we are making the decision to postpone our event scheduled for Saturday night.

Due to the much needed deluge of 110mm on Stanthorpe in the past 24 hours we can't guarantee the stability of parking at the showgrounds.

We will announce a new date in the coming days once we have consulted ABHA.

Entries will still be taken on the day, you will be placed at the bottom of the draw. We are looking forward to an amazing evening with added money 💰
