Throwback to when my beautiful wife graduated college (for the second time). I’ll be next in Four months!
Their first non-Disney themed Halloween. I think we nailed it.
Safe to say our favorite holiday is Halloween. Did we go a bit overboard? Maybe, but the kids love it.
Weekend at Dollywood with this little man and my wonderful family.
Evening fishing trip to Buffalo lake with my beautiful daughter.
1:170 scale model of the Humber Bay Bridge in Ontario Canada. I made this for the Citadel’s Civil Engineering Program in my junior year. This type of woodwork is something different than my usual work but I enjoyed the process and the fact that my beautiful daughter helped me as well.
Love this little guy
Couldn’t imagine a life without these three.
Well it’s been a while but I needed a break. Here is the dragonfly for the hand I carved. Still needs some touch ups but I wanted to get holes for the wings in place which were made from basswood shavings using a chisel. Entirely from basswood which proved to be more friendly than the padauk. Used and to create this piece. What do you think?
Hand carved hand as part of a project I’m working on for my father. Basswood provided by and chisels by . Also used whittling knives which are great. What do you all think about this piece?
A hand carved by hand and chisel out of basswood. Finally in the finishing phase of this project. Sanding and final details to come soon. This beautiful piece of basswood was provided by and the chisels used are the super sharp set. If you haven’t checked either of them out you’re missing some good quality products. Follow me to see this project to the end!
Details finally coming in. Definitely needs some fine tuning/sanding but it’s getting there.

These two spoons are still my favorite. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you should do so! Took a deep cut to the palm of my hand with a chisel a few days ago so I’m letting that heal before any new projects are posted. Follow me for more awesome carvings!
The hardest part of carving for@me is not scrapping the project in the beginning. It never starts out pretty but the more you carve the better it gets.
Prepping blanks with my father’s axe and a saw that originally belonged to my great grandfather. I can’t help but think of him every time I used it and the projects he used this on over the past 80 years. Brings an amazing joy and a tradition that has yet to end.
Really liking the two tone cedar I used on this spoon. Gives it a lot of character. Cedar is however difficult to carve as the grain separates easily if cut the wrong way. Great practice though!

Roughed out two toned cedar spoon. Insta will only let me post one pic so I’ll post more later of this one!
New spoon concept in the works. What are your thoughts?
Just when you’ve run out of wood and a family member begins to clear their property. Log heaven! Endless opportunities.
Black walnut hand carved eating spoon. Baked for five minutes at 350 and oiled with avocado oil. Really makes the beauty of the grain pop.

Dual toned cedar spoon blank roughed out.
Well it’s been a while but back at it! Black walnut eating spoon gifted to my father who is as passionate about woodworking as I am.

I carve a lot with axes but throwing them is also fun.
Hand carved by knife coffee scoop from African Padauk. A cabin perched upon a rocky cliff sits on top of this piece.

100% carved by knife and chisels. Pouring resin over this piece as you read this. Finally done with this after an epic failure with resin on the first attempt (take 2). This piece was commissioned by .sun.art who is extremely patient and also Very Talented! Check her work out!
