Rotafrig - Australia
Rotafrig Australia. Made by James N Kirby in Waterloo, New South Wales, Australia.
So who bought the Rotafrig for $100 off of Oliver of Como, Western Australia? It looked to be complete, emblem included. I missed out.
P.S. I'm still looking for the emblem and now a crisper. I think I have the door handle sorted. Another seller has sold me an original handle and latch recently.
I took my Rotafrig to a local refrigeration mechanic to make sure it was going to last another 70 years and upon it's return to me, the handle and latch mysteriously disappeared. The company involved claimed they gave it back to me in a cardboard box which I should of checked when collecting the Rotafrig yesterday, but didn't and now they are denying it's disappearance. So now I am back to looking for a complete handle and latch set. What are the chances of finding another one? No chance. :(
Update: I purchased recently reproduced instructions that sat on the inside of the door from East Coast Airbrushing. It was a round $35 including postage. The guy has restored Rotafrig's in the past. From the instructions, I discovered the Rotafrig once came with a round crisper to keep vegetables in. So now I'm on the look out for a crisper. https://www.facebook.com/EastCoastAirbrushing/

An update to an earlier post I put on here about me seeking a Rotafrig handle. It turns out the catch which is inside the handle has chipped and worn down. From my understanding with a refrigeration mechanic it may be able to have it re-manufactured.
I'll keep you all posted. In the meantime, I will be looking for the original part, as seen in the photo.
I purchased this Rotafrig in Adelaide recently and didn't hang around to get it repainted. The previous owner as you can see had it as a Duff beer can.
I'll update this page when I can.
However I am in the process of restoring my Rotafrig and I am missing a few parts. I'm looking for an original badge / emblem that sat on the front of the fridge, a door handle and the instructions that were to be found on the inside of the fridge.
I also have a second Rotafrig recently acquired from a property in rural SA. It has been stripped of most parts and is in poor condition, but it still might be of use to someone else. I'm only interested in trading, not selling.
