Limbic System Rewire
EAT, GO, & DO What you Want with Limbic System Rewire.Relief From Environmental & Food Sensitivities
If you’ve gone through labs, detox protocols, and more, and still have lingering chronic health challenges, this post is for you.
After being exposed to mold, I was hit with over 18 health challenges, overnight. Many years, and thousands of dollars later, I didn’t have any answers.
So I took matters into my own hands, and became a certified functional health coach. I tried diets, supplements, and elimination practices that didn’t get me any closer to an answer or relief.
I knew that there had to be an answer, and after hearing about neuroplasticity, God put it on my heart to investigate it. I went all in, and within a month was sleeping through the month, after years of insomnia. Now, I have no food sensitivities, and can go wherever I like.
God revealed to me that I needed to work on my mind and my spirit, and when centering Christ in my experience with neuroplasticity, was able to finally find relief.
If you have questions about what that can look like for you, send me a DM!
Life is cyclical.
There is joy and sorrow, health and sickness, hope and despair. It is often the difficult times that we find it hard to maintain our faith in God.
We must solidify our faith. Belief in God is a mindful commitment that we renew each day. The test comes when we are challenged. We must succumb to God’s divine plan.
In times of despair, maintaining faith requires active prayer. Engage in dialogue with God, unmask your fears. Don’t discard gratitude. Even in our bleak times, there are rays of blessings.
Maintain your faith once things are well again. Don’t let celebration eclipse your gratitude to the Lord, who made it all possible. Every blessing and triumph comes from Him.
So many of us are too hard on ourselves.
You wish you were different. Wondering what’s wrong with you. Why you aren’t happy.
It’s the negative self-talk that keeps you from being happy.
When’s the last time you complimented a friend? Now, how about yourself? God approves of you, and all you need to do is approve yourself. You are made exactly as you’re supposed to be.
God doesn’t need you to have nice clothes, or be in shape, to be approved by Him. And His approval matters most. He created you in the body, shape, and life you are meant to be in. Remember, He doesn’t make mistakes.
Start to embrace kindness towards yourself, and focus on the talents and gifts that God gave you.
Have you started to embrace His kindness? Share how in the comments below!
If you’re looking for a deeper relationship with Christ, but have been struggling, read through and see if you’ve encountered any of these ways the enemy can sneak into your life.
They’re easy to remember, because they all start with “D.”
Distraction: The enemy is very good at this, and once it starts, it can be hard to break, and last a long time. The enemy wants to take your time away from God, and distract you from what matters. Take time to intentionally connect with God, and rely on Him in your prayers against distractions every day.
Deception: The enemy is good at deceiving us and believing lies about ourselves, and even our walk with God. The enemy makes us question our callings from God, or tricks us into thinking material things will make us happier. We can only get joy and peace from Christ, and that His promises are true, and can be trusted.
Division: The enemy is the one that drives wedges, encourages grudges, and inspires revenge. We must treat others in love, as God does.
How do you find success when you realize the enemy is trying to sneak into your life? I’d love to hear in the comments below.
Your chronic health challenges like fatigue, brain fog, and chronic pain are likely due to a chronic stress response in your body.
Our responses to this stress occur subconsciously, unless you do the work to bring them into consciousness.
Identifying the four common stress responses will help you understand the behaviors associated with them.
Fight: Aggressive behavior like yelling, narcissistic tendencies, or controlling others.
Flight: Workaholism, perfectionism, pushing conversations.
Freeze: Difficulty making decisions, brain fogged, disconnected.
Fawn: Excessive people pleasing, codependency, trying to impress others.
I’d love to know if you learned anything about stress responses in this post. Let me know in the comments!
When you’re in a chronically stressed state, like many people with chronic health challenges are, it’s easy to be triggered by little things.
But if you let it, it will eat you alive. You need to train your brain to move on, and shift your focus.
Say someone is rude to you. If you sti and ruminate on it, the anger will stew in your heart and mind, and with the mind-body connection, you’ve now created a trauma response in your brain. The next time you see this person, your brain defaults to the trauma response. And continues to cycle.
Train to your brain to look at others in love, as Christ does, regardless of how they treat you. People often mistreat others because of their own disconnection from God.
Embrace the attitude that you can have peace in Christ, and treat people with love, even if they mistreat you. If you feel triggered, talk to God, and let Him take care of it.
If you’d make changes in your life by putting your faith in God’s life-changing abilities, I’d love to hear about them in the comments or DMs.
If you’re on a restricted diet, it’s likely you’re on it because you have a belief you need to be on it. It’s a learned belief that stems from a practitioner, a friend, or an article online. The more you search, the more you learn.
Eventually, your brain starts to have negative associations with all kinds of foods, and sees them as off limits. You begin to believe that if you eat these foods, you won’t heal.
How do I know? Because that’s exactly how it was for me!
Luckily, I healed from those beliefs, and now understand that the limbic system is the root cause of chronic health challenges in the first place. We’ve allowed food to turn into an idol, instead of treating our bodies like a temple, like the bible instructs.
To get past these beliefs, you’ll have to retrain your brain, and stop the stress response.
Are you treating your body like a temple? What changes do you need to make it possible to do so?
How often have you heard that putting your trust in God will solve all your problems?
In all honesty, the secret to finding peace and happiness as a Christian isn’t just about assuming God will take care of everything: It’s in your absolute faith and obedience in Christ. It’s rooted in your relationship with God.
Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, Rejoice!” Fleeting emotions, material goods, status… they are all fleeting, but faith is forever.
Surrendering to God is not about living a life without pleasure. It’s about trusting that He will provide for you. Be content with what God has given you, and go forward knowing He will continue to give you everything you need.
Do you find it easy to keep this faith in your heart? Let us know if you have special ways of reminding yourself that God will provide.
For those of you struggling with chronic health issues, repeat what God said in Isaiah 60:22:
When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen.
God has already determined when you’re going to experience your breakthrough, or blessed in your life. If it is His will, it will happen.
By trusting this, you don’t need to live worried or frustrated, wondering “if”. You can live in peace, knowing your time is coming, if it is in His will.
Even if it feels God doesn’t hear your prayers, know that He is working for your good, behind the scenes. Rely on his strength and timing. As Romans 8:28 says, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.
So while you wait, allow God to work in you. Let Him grow you, and become more like Him. Stay in faith, even when you don’t know what the future holds.
Do these words resonate with you? Take time to reflect on a time where God’s timing was just right in your own life.
Even the world’s smartest scientists can’t answer this question:
What is the brain’s full capacity?
The brain is constantly changing, and creates new neutrons throughout our lifetime. We still have much to learn about why it does these changes, but we understand how we can use the change to make a positive impact on our well-being.
Enter neuroplasticity.
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change in response to new information. The good news?
You’re more in control of wiring out unpleasant traumatic memories and unhealthy thinking patterns than you thought!
You have the power to introduce information during this process of change that creates a new mental, emotional and physical way of life for you.
Do any of these facts surprise you? Share your experience with neuroplasticity below!
I’ve shared my experience with social anxiety after getting hit with over 20 different chronic health challenges.
But now, I can socialize freely, and even speak in front of thousands of people each month. How? Christ-centered brain rewiring tools that made my change possible.
I want to share five of these tools today.
Caring too much what people think: It’s what God thinks of you that matters most!
Rehearing what you’re going to say before a conversation: Relax, go with the flow, and trust God will give you the right words at the right time.
Replaying conversations once they are over: You might worry if you said the right thing. Be confident in your words and redirect your thoughts to the present.
Being stuck in your head in the middle of a conversation: Take your focus our of your mind, and onto the other person. Practice your listening skills, and ask questions!
Assuming what other people are thinking about you: We never know the intentions of someone else’s heart. Only God does!

I know that you want to have the strength to keep every thought captive and get rid of the lies that cause you to feel worn out or fearful.
2 Corinthians 10:5 reminds us that we need to be aware of our thoughts, otherwise the enemy can creep in and deceive us.
If you feel your thoughts are not being kept captive, try these two practices:
Stand back and observe your thoughts and actions
Turn off your autopilot, and take control of your thought life, so that it doesn’t take control of you. Set a timer and reflect: What am I thinking? Do my thoughts align with Christ? This lets you check your own heart and motivation.
Do a listening and writing exercise
Grab a pen and paper and og to a quiet place. Set a timer for 2 minutes, and list your thoughts. Set it for another 2, and write down all of the thoughts you remember. Are they mostly positive or negative? Do they align with God?

How can you rewire your brain to improve physical health and make the most of your body?
Neuroplasticity.
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change in response to new information. This gives you the power to wire out unpleasant or unhealthy thinking patterns. You have the power to shape a new reality.
To begin, we must learn from our past. We must look at our behaviors and actions, and understand our stressors and traumas.
To start rewiring your brain, you must understand that a relationship with God is essential for lasting change. His guidance will help you understand the thoughts and habits that need to change, and the strength and courage to change them.
What questions do you have about neuroplasticity? I would love to answer them in the comments!
Chronic health challenges are often tied to being stuck in a fight, flight or freeze response.
When we’re stuck in stress, trauma, fear, acting out on sin and living in negative emotions, your brain creates a stress response.
Thankfully, neuroplasticity can change the way you respond to circumstances, and wire your mind for Christ.
With Christ at the foundation, you will change at a heart level. When your actions align with God, your physical health improves because of the mind-body connection we have.
Where are you on your neuroplasticity journey? I’d love to hear about it in the comments or my DMs.
The anxious brain can feel overwhelmingly powerful, but these three tips will help you rewire your brain and restore control.
1. Identify your triggers.
We all have them. Triggers make you spiral into negative thinking patterns and emotions.
2. Redirect your negative thinking patterns and change your behaviors when triggers are present.
Create a new default response each time a trigger arises. Redirect your negative thinking patterns, and give them to God.
3. Think greater than you feel.
Your brain doesn’t know the difference between you actually being happy or faking it. Try not to verbalize anything negative.
Which of these three tips would you be first to try? Let me know in the comments below!
You’ve done the diets. You’ve tried the supplements. But they’re just not working.
If you’re still tired after trying all of that, there are three potential reasons why.
1. They don’t solve the root problem: The root cause of chronic health challenges is trauma or stressors, not toxins or infections.
2. Lab results don’t show everything: Lab reports shouldn’t trump our own bodies and emotions. If you’re taking supplements for issues in your labs and aren’t seeing improvements, you’re treating the wrong thing.
3. You’re only looking at the physical: The physical is only one component of health. The mind and spirit are just as important to work on.
Which of these three surprised you the most? I’d love to know!
I wasn’t always a brain retraining coach.
I started off as a functional health coach after my own experience with chronic health challenges. I was able to run labs, and provide supplements and diets. While my clients had success, I knew there had to be more.
After experiencing increased sensitivity to supplements, God led me to brain retraining. I started implementing it on myself and immersed myself fully.
Within a few weeks I had an amazing transformation. I surrendered my physical trial of symptoms to Christ, and now live my life totally free from restrictions.
Functional coaching focused on the body, but my results from Christian-based neuroplasticity helped me understand we also need to focus on the mind and spirit.
Now I get to help people find relief from chronic health challenges while also helping them walk alongside God.
Were you surprised to learn I was a functional coach? Let me know below!
Over-analyzing every little thing about your health is not a solution to your chronic health issues.
Over-analyzing can lead to obsession. It puts you in a bubble that feels impossible to escape, and isolates you from family and friends.
It also doesn’t allow you to rewire your brain. It doesn’t give room to the new thoughts and behaviors needed to create healthy pathways in your brain.
Give your brain and body space and time to heal, with the support of an intentional brain rewiring program.
How do you know if you’re overanalyzing your health? Let us know below.
Forgiveness does not mean accepting another’s mistakes, or equal reconciliation. It’s about releasing your anger.
Forgiveness is not about benefiting the offender, but bringing peace to you.
Instead of exploring forgiveness, we often build walls to protect ourselves. But while they might provide temporary relief, in the long term it isolates us, and prevents us from healing and growing.
It blocks your peace, and God’s love.
Forgiving our offenders helps us release negative emotions, which reduces stress, and improves physical health.
Forgiveness isn’t easy, but it’s crucial for our well-being.
I’d love to hear about your experiences with forgiveness, and what it meant for your physical, mental and spiritual health. Share in the comments below.
Are you too hard on yourself? It’s time to kick the habit.
Many people play the “what if” or “if only” game, without realizing that God approves of them. All you need to do is approve of yourself.
By criticizing ourselves, we’re criticizing God’s creations, and telling him he didn’t do a good enough job. If you needed a different personality or body to complete God’s assignment for you, He would have given it to you.
Be kind and loving to yourself; He approves of you.
How do you break the cycle of negative self-talk? Share below!
The limbic system is a group of brain structures deep beneath the cerebral cortex. It acts as a control center, regulating all kinds of conscious and non-conscious functions.
But how does limbic system dysfunction develop?
It develops after someone has had multiple traumas and stressors in their life. The kicker? It’s not the stressors, but how the brain PERCEIVES the stressors.
Limbic system dysfunction is a chronic, maladapted stress response that occurs in the brain and then affects the body.

Visualization is a powerful tool that helps to rewire your brain for health and happiness.
Calm the fight, flight, freeze response and wire out the old loops your brain is used to.
We’ve gathered 6 reasons we love using visualization:
1. Visualization wires out negative thinking patterns.
2. The brain doesn’t know if you’re imagining something or if it's really happening.
3. Visualization boosts healing neurotransmitters in the brain that calms the stress response.
4. Visualization calms the chronic stress response and lessens chronic health challenges.
5. Visualization primes your brain to start making positive changes with your health and life in the future.
6. Visualization deepens your relationship with God.

It’s likely that if you have chronic health challenges, you have chronic stress responses in your body.
Most people know about fight and flight, but two additional common ones are freeze and fawn.
Freeze makes you feel stuck. You may feel spaced out, have a difficult time making decisions, or feel numb. Break the cycle by bringing awareness to it and being mindful in the present moment.
Fawn happens when you excessively people please. You have a loss of self and may be codependent on others. A healthy response is to compromise with others and even disagree with others.

Whatever we choose to focus on gets magnified and amplified in our hearts. That’s true of stressors, trials and traumas. They become bigger the more we focus on them.
For those with limbic system dysfunction, focusing on the negative activates the fight, flight or freeze response. Our mind needs to change our physical brain through neuroplasticity.
Shift your focus to Him when triggers arise.
Today, your challenge is to shift your focus to God, instead of your chronic health challenges.
Find the strength in Deuteronomy 31:8, “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Walking in the spirit starts in the heart and mind. Together with God, you wire in healthy, positive neural pathways.
To stay in the spirit, become aware of where your mind goes. Are you guided by the flesh or the spirit?
Ensure you have a daily routine with God. Are you reading your bible? Are you obeying God?
By putting God first, we make sure that there are no distracting idols that you need to get rid of.
Walking in the spirit is a choice that starts in your heart and mind. Once you work on the mind and walk in the spirit, your chronic health challenges go away because of the mind-body connection, in His timing, and His timing alone.
If you want support in walking in the spirit, join the free fatigue and sensitivity challenge starting December 4th by commenting “Spirit” below.
We have three neural pathways of the autonomic nervous system: Fight, Flight and Freeze.
There is one sympathetic pathway, the fight or flight. This is often thought to be activated by chronic stressors, when it’s actually activated by how you PERCEIVE the stressors.
Neuroplasticity lets you train your brain to not perceive certain things as threatening anymore.
Fight or flight may make you feel anxious, panicked, or fearful, or physical effects like a racing heart rate, reduced immune system and pulsing adrenaline.
Retraining your brain pulls you out of this state, and into a parasympathetic, social engagement state.

Brain rewiring and God brought me back to who I used to be.
After being exposed to toxic mold in my apartment, I had over 18 chronic health challenges rise up. Even though my labs were normal, they were so bad, I had to quit my job.
After seeing dozens of doctors, and spending thousands of dollars, I took matters into my own hands. God placed on my heart the research into neuroplasticity. I knew this was the way and the answer.
Retraining changed my life. My sleep, digestion and social life were normal again. I got to return to church, thanks to Jesus’ love.
God revealed to me that I needed to work on my mind and spirit. Hope is found in the name of Jesus.

By now we know that thinking patterns initiate the chronic stress response.
Wiring out negative thinking patterns is a huge part of the brain retraining process. Intentional practice means that even our subconscious thoughts can be brought into consciousness.
Read through the list; do you identify with any of these patterns?

Combining biohacking and brain retraining doesn’t always go smoothly.
Let's dive into 6 reasons biohacking your health can backfire if you’re retraining your brain.
1. It causes people to live based on how they feel: It can consume your brain and every waking thought as you control what you eat and the environment you’re in.
2. Having too high of expectations of health and feeling good: Constant monitoring can lead to the expectation of getting to a certain level of health, and how you “should” be feeling.
3. It places supplements and diets in front of changing at a heart level for Christ: The foundation for getting better is through Jesus Christ.
4. Focusing on the causes of health challenges: Endless cycles of searching and wondering can consume you.
5. Your labs start to define you: It focuses on the negative when you identify yourself by your health challenges or lab results.
6. Health can turn into an idol: Anything in our life that we put before God is an idol; He should be first in our lives.
