Thank you for your continued engagement with HHT, your encouragement, and investment in your own wellness!
In those troubling moments when I lose sight of who I am, or when I’ve messed up hard enough, it’s hard to remember that I am worthy of love.
We all have times like this, when stress, confusion, and overwhelm, even guilt and shame, make us forget our worth. It’s precisely in these times that holistic self-care becomes crucial.
By nurturing our minds, bodies, and spirits, we can reconnect with our true selves, remember our inherent worth and relearn who we are.
So today, while at a low, I vow to prioritize self-care, for myself and for my family. I ask myself, “What am I to them if not worthy to me?” We need love and care, especially when life gets tough, especially when we don’t or can’t feel our true selves…
For me, these are also crucial times to ground, connect with the Most High, to replenish my spirit and gratitude, diminish my sadness, and remember the beautiful life of simplicity, awe and love we are truly meant to live.
I wish, hope, pray and advocate, for the ability to do this when needed, for us all.
Life… business… work… relationships… family… health…
No one knows how hard you’ve worked to get here…
Not really.
Your visible results so far, reflect your dedication and actions taken.
Aiming to keep what you have or obtain what you need.
Your presence is present.
Solid.
Then, why do you feel like you haven’t yet arrived?
I know…
It can feel pretty lonely sometimes, despite not actually being alone.
There’s an essence of hollowness around, right?
See, what can’t be “seen” is the countless nights you went to bed thinking “I can’t do this anymore.”
No one felt your pain, or saw your silent tears.
No one knows the emotional and mental toll this took on you and perhaps still does…
No one hears the voice in your head whispering doubt and lies.
Maybe no one held you, and said “ Love… I see YOU… not your doubt, not your mistakes.”
And yet,
There you are pressing on, showing up new every day, staying committed.
Wearing your invisible cape…
Breathing…
And that is why you’ll make it.
That is why it’ll all be okay.
You show up.
You fight.
It doesn’t matter who does or doesn’t understand or see.
You know who you are and can feel who you are becoming…
Allow that to fill your cup.
You can do this.
You ARE doing this.
I SEE YOU. I’m with you…
Living a healthy lifestyle isn’t just about what we eat or how we move; its so much more...
It’s a way of approaching life that can truly transform how we navigate challenges.
In moments of difficulty, my holistic practices have become tools for cultivating optimism.
These practices remind me that even in the darkest of times, there’s always a light to guide me forward.
There’s a lot I don’t have control over… By nurturing my mind, body, and spirit, I remind myself of the control I do have over my life’s outcomes, my impact on others, and essentially the world.
Through mindful self- care, over and over again, I am finding peace with who I am, what I believe, what I speak, what I do, how I treat myself and others, and how I show up.
I choose to believe that what happens to me happens for me.
We can choose to turn poo into fertilizer.
We can choose to turn pain into purpose.
With time and healing…
It wasn’t all for nothing…
Affirm— “All my experiences are helping me grow.”

You deserve it! 🫶🏾
To whoever needs this:
I see you !!!
You are embarking on a journey that feels lonely and scary…
But… all you need is to destroy that self doubt.
Tell it, it is no longer welcome inside of your mind, body, or spirit.
Tell it, YOU are bigger and more powerful than the fear and doubt.
YOU are grabbing hold!
Now go… nurture and fill YOU up.
Feed your mind truth.
Feed your body wholesomeness.
Feed your spirit love.
Don’t feed the fear, dont feed the doubt.
Do what makes you feel BIG.
We are done playing small.
The world needs you NOW…🌍🫶🏾
As mommas, we understand that our little ones are always watching, learning, and absorbing the world around them.
When they see us honoring our bodies, minds, and spirits through self-care rituals, we’re instilling in them the importance of nurturing themselves.
Why is this so crucial? Because by modeling self-care, we’re teaching our children:
1- Self-Respect: When we make time for ourselves, we demonstrate that our needs are valid and deserving of attention. This empowers our children to honor their own boundaries and prioritize their well-being.
2- Healthy Habits: Whether it’s mindfulness exercises, nutritious meals, or physical activity, our self-care practices set the foundation for lifelong health habits in our little ones. We’re showing them that taking care of themselves is a non-negotiable aspect of a fulfilling life.
3- Emotional Intelligence: By managing our stress, practicing self-compassion, and seeking support when needed, we equip our children with essential emotional coping skills. They learn to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and grace.
4- Value of Balance: Balancing the demands of motherhood, leadership, and personal well-being sends a powerful message to our children: life is about harmony, not sacrifice. They see that it’s possible to pursue their passions while nurturing their own souls.
Not only does self care nourish our own spirits, but it also sets the stage for a generation of empowered, self-aware individuals. I’m committed to raising my tribe of children to understand the transformative power of self-love. 💕
For me, happiness blooms when I embrace my journey of self-improvement. Knowing I’m on the right path, feeling it in my whole entire being… and in the fulfillment of ticking off tasks that bring me closer to my ever changing goals, until I reach them, create new ones…
The best part—I get to walk with and inspire others on their sacred path in the process. I am humbled and grateful ❤️😌🙏🏾
Celebrating HHT’s 3rd year on Facebook. Thank you for your continuing support. I could never have made it without you. 🙏🤗🎉
While taking action, I hold space.
While having hard conversations, I listen eagerly.
Be hope for the hopeless.
Dream for those who’s minds are in survival mode.
Speak and listen with a heart of love, compassion and understanding.
Let go of your need to be “right.”
Just be love.

Not all heroes wear capes... some hold bowls of seaweed salad with a fake smile! 😅 Let’s talk about the ‘Eat What You Love’ movement, where I’m the unofficial poster child 😄
Sure, I might not be head over heels for seaweed salad, but I know packed with nutrients that I’m not willing to miss out on!
So, instead of forcing myself to suffer through a bowl of slimy seaweed, I’ve found my own delicious equivalents that give me the same nutritional bang for my buck!! I LOVE seaweed chips, and I have my daily dose of sea-moss.
Who says healthy eating has to be boring? Let’s make it fun, flexible, and full of flavor! What’s your go-to swap for a less-than-appealing dish?
Let’s swap secrets! 💚
Mindfulness, gratitude, and holistic self-care, unlock the path to inner peace and true fulfillment.
Gratitude fills my cup this Monday morning. After overcoming a series of unforeseen challenges, I am reminded of how strong I am.
Don’t take the way your inner strength shows up for you lightly. It’s always there just when you need it❤️💪🏾
It’s International Women’s Day.
And today I am both celebrating and grieving.
I celebrate the amazing women who have come before me and paved the way for so many of us.
I celebrate their resilience.
I celebrate their strength.
I celebrate their courage.
I celebrate every woman.
I celebrate moms and leaders, sisters, aunts, grandmothers...
I celebrate every woman doing hard things right now and not giving up.
And…
I am grieving the pain and loss going in right now in our world.
My heart is hurting for the mothers who have lost children, who are right now watching their children starve helplessly.
My heart is hurting for the innocent women kidnapped, still held hostage and their bodies exploited.
My heart is hurting for ALL the women who are victims of war, conflict, political crossfires.
My heart is hurting for the women living in fear at this very moment who feel they have to hide.
This is not a day of celebration for them…
Sisters who are blessed with safety and health- May we all find the truth we seek, a way forward, a way to be of service to those who need us, a way to love each other so hard that tearing any other woman down is impossible…
And may we maintain our health and safety so that we may be a voice for all women, a beacon of light and hope.
That is my hope and prayer today. 🌎❤️🤲🏾
Snack time!
Happy Monday!
Here’s your Magnificent Monday Mantra:
I embrace the possibilities of a new week with a mindset of gratitude, resilience, and intention.
Today, I choose clarity over chaos, progress over perfection, and self-care over stress.
I am capable, I am worthy, and I am ready to conquer whatever comes my way.
Let’s make this Monday magnificent!!
When I don’t know what to cook, sometimes I just grab things, a protein, a veggie, and a side/carb based, whether they “go together” or not and just create a meal out of it 🤷🏽♀️😁 I go with the flow, and it always comes out delicious! 😋 pictured here is vegan beef tips, sautéed soba noodles, and steamed cabbage and broccoli! 🥦🥬 🍜 Yummmm
Tea time 🫖 ! Reflecting on so many things today…
Happy Sunday! 💕
Smile! 😃
Smiling on purpose, even when you’re not necessarily feeling happy, can trigger the release of feel-good hormones in your body, primarily endorphins.
Endorphins act as natural painkillers and mood elevators. When you smile, even if it’s forced at first, it activates certain facial muscles, sending signals to your brain that you’re smiling. In response, your brain releases endorphins, which can help reduce stress and boost your mood!
Here is your reminder to mindfully move your body today. ❤️
Remember: mindful movement (exercise) should be about lovingly honoring and taking care of your body, not pushing to the limit of discomfort and pain for the sake of saying “I did it.”
Have a wonderful Tuesday ✌🏾
Reflecting today… Grateful to the Most High for all creation, the earth, her beauty… grateful for my life and my purpose… Sending prayers that the world finds its way back to love, harmony, connection, and earth herself.
Nothing stands between me and my tea 🍵
I don’t share much about this, but I do what I do because I know how feeling unwell can ruin your life.
Staring out of the window with a cup of tea in hand, I can’t help but reflect on the journey of overcoming both physical and mental health challenges while being a mom, wife, sister, friend…
I felt it was impossible to keep going like that. I just couldn’t. So, I said no more. I decided my lifestyle HAD to change.
It’s been tough, but it’s also been transformative.
One thing that’s been my anchor through it all? Holistic self-care. Taking care of yourself in every aspect – mind, body, and spirit – isn’t just a luxury; it’s a necessity, especially when you’ve battled through the depths of illness and despair like I have.
Holistic practices like mindfulness, nourishing nutrition, movement, and self-compassion have been my lifelines, guiding me back to a place of balance and vitality.
So, here’s to sipping tea, staring into the horizon, and embracing the power of holistic wellness.
Remember, taking care of yourself isn’t selfish; it’s self-love in its purest form. 🍵
I will rock a shirt with herbs on it ! Okaaayyy?! 😁
My top 3 favorites are Chamomile, Lemon Balm, and Ashwagandha, and here’s why:
1️⃣ Chamomile: It’s like a cozy hug for your mind! Chamomile helps with stress and promotes relaxation. Perfect for winding down after a busy day.
2️⃣ Lemon Balm: Bursting with freshness! Lemon Balm is like a breath of fresh air for your mood. It can uplift your spirits and bring a sense of calm. Great for those moments when you need a little pick-me-up!
3️⃣ Ashwagandha: The powerhouse herb! Ashwagandha is like a superhero for stress. It helps your body adapt to challenges and supports overall well-being! Perfect for busy moms juggling multiple roles (me)!
Okay, in all fairness, it’s hard to pick a top 3…(I love ginger, butterbur, cannabis, lavender, mint, turmeric, etc). Nature’s remedies are a treasure trove, and these herbs are my go-to’s for a life with minimal stress!
Take a moment today to connect with your inner self through gratitude.
Treat yourself well. Breathe deeply. Hold space for all that you feel and all that you are.
You deserve the serenity that comes from within 🧘🏽♀️❤️
Share a photo of your pet and tell me something you love about them 🥰
This is our fur baby, 🐈⬛ Green Bean Casserole! 🥰🥰
She will be 3 years old on Feb 16th. She’s our household sweetheart!
Did you know that the companionship of your fur-baby can work wonders for your overall well-being?
Studies show that interacting with pets can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and boost mood.
I’ve seen firsthand the healing power pets bring!
From increased mindfulness during walks to the pure joy shared, the positive impact is immeasurable!!
Some days I just don’t know… It’s like I’m trying to process something I don’t know or understand. When I notice my being feels uncertain, I sit in it. I get curious. I try not to bulldoze over it. Our intellectual bodies can put us in a state of “Meh” for us to listen and pay attention to something it’s been trying to say. So it’s okay to be in a state of “Meh” without an antecedent. Your body knows why. Get curious.
Sometimes, it’s necessary to sit with yourself and discover all that you feel and all that you are ✨❤️✨❤️
Happy Friday! Tea for the win! ☕️ setting mindful intentions for this weekend…
What’s marinating with you? Indulge me with your weekend plans! 🥰
