Roger Goodell's story to becoming the NFL commissioner is all about perseverance.

Roger and I became friends a long time ago and it was awesome getting to sit down with him on our podcast. Roger talks about how he joined the NFL, implementing rule changes, and my personal favorite... his family.

Roger has always been an extremely generous person and I am lucky to call him a friend.

Longevity is a hot topic today.
Living with ALS, I understand that every day is a gift.

Dr. Joseph Maroon was the first neurosurgeon hired in the NFL and had a "lifequake" that caused him to leave the NFL and work at a truck stop. This forced him to consider his own health and longevity.

Is it working?
Dr. Maroon is 83 and still competing in marathons and Iron Man races.

New episode on Tim Green - Nothing Left Unsaid with Will Cain today! We discussed his time on ESPN debating Stephen A Smith, getting started in media, personal growth, and values.

Will is incredible at articulating his thoughts and has had a very interesting life. At the end, I put him on the hot seat with some tough questions to see if I could stump him but he stayed himself no matter what we spoke about.

Enjoy!

One interview I did always haunted me.

When I was announcing NFL games, there was something about my talk with then Jaguars quarterback Mark Brunell that I couldn’t stop thinking about. He had a level of equanimity and peace that I didn’t think was possible. He didn’t talk about, it was something you could feel just being in the same room as him.

A lifetime later, I finally had the chance to talk to him about it, his career, and his coaching job with the Detroit Lions. I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did! (Episode in the comments)

Winning the 1982 state championship at Liverpool was one of the proudest moments in my sports career. Wrestling is one of, if the not the, hardest sports out there. Today, we spoke with a college wrestling All-American and Penn State Nittany Lion Wrestling hall of fame member, Chris Bevilacqua.
Chris took the lessons he learned wrestling to be an extremely successful businessman and changed sports media as we know it.
Parents - wrestling teaches so much about life.

I hope you enjoy! Go wrestling.

I first met Latavius Murray as an 18 year old kid. At that time, I knew he was special, but not in the way you might think. Being an all-star football player was just a small piece of who he was. Latavius was a kind, humble, and hardworking kid that was special without football.
Fast forward 16 years, Latavius has had an incredible collegiate career and is still in the NFL playing for the Buffalo Bills. I really enjoyed today's podcast conversation with my fellow Upstate New Yorker.

It's not often I get to talk about my journey as a student athlete at Syracuse University.
Today's episode was special to me. Syracuse Orange's new head football coach, Fran Brown, sat down to speak with us about the program. Ever since I was a little kid growing up in Liverpool, I understood the importance of the program. It means so much to this area and I'm excited about the future of Syracuse Football.

After reflecting on this journey and life I've had, I just wanted to say thank you to all of the Syracuse faithful that have always been there.

I was shown a video of Tony Evans preaching and something about it just instantly resonated with me.

Troy challenged me to ask Tony the hardest faith-based questions I could think of. This was not meant to be offensive, but rather to hear how someone with his expertise would respond to different scenarios and criticisms.

Enjoy!
