Nobyembre 10, 2022 – Inilabas ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon kamakailan ang resulta ng unang PPSSH-aligned National Qualifying Examination for School Heads (NQESH) na may kabuoang 2,203 (36.90%) mula sa 5,966 examinees na classified ngayon bilang eligible para sa susunod na bahagi (tulad ng panayam at screening ng papel) para sa mga posisyon ng Principal I.

Isinagawa ang NQESH ngayong taon sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon sa pag-assess ng aspiring school heads. Bukod sa pagpapalit tungo sa remote testing, binubuo ang test items ngayong taon ng conceptual at situational critical thinking questions alinsunod sa competencies na nakatakda sa Philippine Professional Standards for School Heads (PPSSH) o DepEd Order No. 024, s. 2020 at binuo sa tulong ng Structure of Observed Learning Outcomes (SOLO) model bilang underpinning framework.

Upang matukoy ang mga kuwalipikadong examinees para sa susunod na bahagi ng proseso ng pagpili, pati na rin ang mga kukuha ng karagdagan na learning and development interventions, ang mga tugon ng mga examinee ay dumaan sa quantitative analysis gamit ang Rasch Model, isang pamamaraan na tumutukoy sa kahusayan at pag-unawa ng kukuha ng exam sa pagiging isang school head sa halip ng pangkaraniwang pass o fail scores.

Ang apat na national top performers para sa NQESH ngayong taon ay ang mga sumusunod: Arlen A. Jumamoy, Kasilak National High School, Panabo City, Region XI (Davao Region); Christian Mespher Hernandez, Toclong Elementary School at Schools Division Office Imus City, Region IV-A (CALABARZON); June Jay Mangente, Salvacion Elementary School, Pio Duran, Albay, Region V (Bicol Region); at Johnathan Guillermo, Francisco Balagtas Elementary School, National Capital Region, Manila.

Iaanunsyo ang paglabas ng mga indibidwal na sertipiko ng lahat ng kumuha ng pagsusulit, kabilang ang naaangkop na mga Human Resource (HR) actions at Learning & Development (L&D) interventions, sa pamamagitan ng susunod na pagpapalabas mula sa Office of the Undersecretary for Human Resource and Development (OUHROD), National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP), at Teacher Education Council Secretariat (TECS).
