For my love for Ghazals and a supreme admiration for a musician who undoubtedly is one of the Legends of Ghazals, the one & only Ustad Ghulam Ali Sahab🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. . .here is my humble attempt at rendering one of his popular Ghazals UNSE NAIN MILAKAR DEKHO.
Thank you Vishal Ashok Mhatre bhai for adding your unique magic on the Tabla to make this song even more special. This lockdown, and this 'record from home' collaboration sure is something I will cherish for a long long time.
This lockdown period, filled with uncertainty and challenges, has also given me an opportunity to whole heartedly practice my music and love for yet another instrument I adore, the SARANGI. For me, it fulfils all the frustrations and impossible limitations I face as a Harmonium player. It has helped me understand & appreciate the finer aspects of Indian Classical Music and tuned my ear to understanding Pitch / Shruti / Tuning whatever one may call it. . . it sure has humbled me and made me a better musician.
