Dave's Subterannean Sandbox
A place for me to hang out and play and share music with some historical context
Due to this month being a bit more hectic than expected, I had to abandon the original plan for Bob Dylan's birthday but I will have a few more songs tonight and tomorrow night at least. Hoping to go live tomorrow night, but in the meantime here is "Dear Landlord"- originally released on "John Wesley Harding" in 1967 and covered contemporaneously by both Joe Cocker and Janis Joplin.
Daze of Dylan
Day 2- "If You See Her, Say Hello"
(from Blood on the Tracks, 1975)
"Is it rolling, Bob?"
Well, yeah.. A few days late, but the Days of Dylan have begun...Only instead of 24 days, I now have 19 days to get 24 songs in before I wrap it up on Dylan's 80th.
Day 1-
"Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You"
(from 1969's "Nashville Skyline")
Hey all.I know it's been a ghost town here for a while, but that is soon to change. I wanted to let you all know that May 1-24 will be the Double Dozen Days of Dylan. I will be doing a Dylan song every day up to Bob's 80th birthday on May 24th and while I have a lot of ideas, I am open to your suggestions. See you then, and hopefully even sooner!
A little hope for 2021- "Better Things" by The Kinks...HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!
