How can you start teaching PHONICS to your child?

1. Teach the letter sounds (not the names of the letters).

2. Blending two letter sounds like (b+r =br), (g+l=gl).

3. Slowly sound the letters, then try putting them in together. For example, (b+a =ba), (d+a =da).

4. Once, your child have mastered some of the two letter blends, try adding an ending letter sound. Your child might surprise you! ❤️ For example, (ba + d = bad), (da + d =dad)

5. Don’t forget, SIGHT WORDS are very important. Make sure to practice 100 words every day.

6. Lastly, “two letter family blends” are great way to practice reading in a full sentence. For example,
~ AD FAMILY BLENDS

** The goal is to familiarize letter sounds.

Dad had a bad pad.
Dad is sad. Dad is glad.

Number Blocks (TV series) is one of the best ways to learn counting for toddlers. My son has watched the videos (umpteenth time) but it never gets old.

Can you count 1-10 in English?
Try counting forwards or backwards by 2s, 5s, and 10s.
