I’ve taken on a new freedom in creating.
I am free to create regardless of the season, regardless of what I’ve created in the past and regardless of the thoughts or expectations of others.

I have already done 6 curated collections this year!!! SIX custom collections for SIX clients and I am currently working on another 3! 2022 is a BIG year and I’m learning so many things about myself in the process.

It’s also been more challenging to create because of time restrictions and workload.

But I find the time to sketch while sitting with my kids through repeat episodes of sister sister, or family matters and I am so excited to begin creating what I’ve envisioned.

Expect beautiful things to make their way soon enough. And if it’s not as soon as some may think, I am freeing myself from that guilt.

I create Afrocentric minimalist jewelry in small batches. I’m passionate about jewelry [ of course ], being a mama, traveling, good food and building lifelong friendships.

I love my husband and his dad jokes, I’m huge into online shopping and online everything (I bought my car online) BUT I’m super social LOL. Also I often write in ALL CAPS!! It means I’m excited . You’ll get used to it lol.

I believe fresh air and tea can solve most things and I’m a and gal.

Compromise is part of every business. One thing we cannot compromise is our humanity. Kinfolk is a business that refuses to compromise anyone’s humanity for capital gain. I don’t believe in disregarding people because of their race, age, complexion, social economic status, gender or sexual identity, physical or neuro abilities, religious affiliation or any other reason. I am responsible for the impact I have on this earth and I will always strive to “Do Everything In Love”. [see my story today for what prompted this post]. Remembering when the NYC cityscape looked very different. The New York I dreamed of going to when I was just a kid was brought down when I was only 8 years old. I remember the day so clearly because my grandma worked in one of the towers and by some miraculous occurrence decided to work from home that day!! We were all pulled from school and certain that we all did the same thing when we got home… we sat in suspense and waited to know if our country would survive the chaos. The impact this day has had on so many Americans (and honestly the world) is massive. To the families who lost a dear one to the tragic events of September 11th- my heart is with you now and forever.

With the holidays FAST approaching I want to ensure that you all receive your packages in a timely manner. That is why for the remainder of the year- I will only be shipping through UPS + FEDEX. There will be no standard USPS Option available as the U.S. Postal Service has been hit heavily lately and more packages are getting lost in the mail. LOCAL DELIVERY will still be an option until 12/20. While shipping costs will increase slightly, I will continue to honor orders above $100 shipping FREE!
