Earlier today September 14, 2021. Another Government Institution in our Municipality under the supervision of Cris A. Amores MDRRMO Local officer II received the SAFETY SEAL CERTIFICATION from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

On September 7, 2021 the Safety Seal Inspection Team inspected the first 2 private establishments for the Safety Seal Compliance.
The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme that affirms that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government and uses or integrates its contact tracing with StaySafe.ph.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) today encouraged barangays to support the implementation of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) or the National ID system by actively encouraging their constituents to register in the PhilSys and get a national ID.

The barangay, as the basic political unit, "shall serve as the primary planning and

community".

Earlier today - 4 Barangays of Maigo were conferred with Safety Seal Certification

Four barangays of Maigo namely: Labuay, Claro M Recto, Liangan West and Kulasihan were awarded with the Safety Seal today, July 27, 2021.

The Safety Seal Certification provided in IATF Resolution No. 87 intends to increase compliance by private and public entities with the minimum public health standards set by the government.

Further, the Safety Seal is a physical manifestation of the compliance of an establishment to the minimum health standards required by government to contain the spread of Covid-19.

To note, earlier this month, the Municipal Police Station of Maigo and the Bureau of Fire Protection Maigo were also awarded with the Safety Seal.

The DILG Inspection and Certification Team is composed of the PNP, BFP and the DILG.

In order to refresh the Barangay Secretaries on their duties and roles in the barangay, the Association of Barangay Secretaries of Maigo in coordination with the Liga ng mga Barangay- Maigo Chapter and the Office of the Department of the Interior and Local Government Maigo conducted a one-day Refresher Course for Barangay Secretaries of Maigo on July 16, 2021 at Bacolod Training Center, Bacolod, Lanao del Norte.

The one-day course aimed to freshen concerned Barangay Officials on their roles in the barangay, as well as a Lupon Secretary. Most of the secretaries reiterated their concerns especially matters involving Barangay Justice, to which they were clarified and checked.

Said training is needed for the appointed officials to function effectively and efficiently since they have big roles on their shoulders.
