Dillon Lamberth - Sumner County Commissioner District 4
Be proud of your hometown. It's a big part of what makes you the person you are. I would appreciate your support on May 3rd in the Republican county primary.
This community has done so much for me throughout my life and now I have the opportunity to return the favor. Hello, I am Dillon Lamberth and I am a candidate for Sumner County Commissioner in the new District 4. I am the 4th generation to live on my family farm along with my wife, Morgan of four years, and our daughter, Caroline. I want this community to be somewhere for my daughter to grow up a

Congratulations to our faculty, staff and students for meeting the criteria for Reward School status through the Tennessee Department of Education. Because we were a first year school last year, we were not eligible for the official distinction but we are still excited to have been informed that we hit the mark. We take pride in pursuing excellence in everything that we do!

So grateful to be part of this amazing organization!
A did you know for your Thursday ...
Did you know that 237 years ago this week Sumner County was established from Davidson county when this area was still part of North Carolina?
This was in 1786, 10 years BEFORE Tennessee became a state (meaning our county is 𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒓 than our state)!
To honor this, in 1998, Sumner County adopted its own flag (designed by Devereaux Cannon Jr.). Here's what it all means:
- Colors are of the American flag
- Design resembles the original revolution style flag
- The circle of 13 stars has been expanded to 16 to signify Tennessee as the 16th member of the American Union (with three stripes as Tennessee was the third state to join the Union following the 13)
- The font is in 18th centrury script
Flag 1 of 100 is on display at the Museum.
Congratulations to Station Camp and Liberty Creek girls soccer team for winning STATE today!
Also congratulations to Merrol Hyde girls soccer for being State runner up (they played Liberty Creek)
Thank you for representing Sumner County well!
Two amazing educators!
We have great news about the 386 bridge.....It is back open to 2 lanes!!! 🎉 TDOT finished the repairs last night and it was not as bad as they first thought! So thankful for TDOT and their hard work to get this completed in a timely manner.
🚨🚨Effective immediately the right lane and right shoulder of the bridge on Highway 386 Westbound over the Shutes Lane area near mile marker 9 and before exit 8 at Saundersville rd. is CLOSED and there is no end date for this closure! 🚨🚨
Expect delays in this area until the lane and shoulder are back open!

We have some fantastic judges in Sumner County, like my friend General Sessions Judge Kee Bryant-McCormick. I’m thankful for their efforts not only in their normal courtroom, but auxiliary courts like Recovery and Mental Health Court. They not only save lives, but save our county tax dollars!
Thank you also Portland Chamber of Commerce for shining light on this important program.
Such a cool idea for our students that may not have the opportunity to learn about things like this at home!
Forget the guinea pig. How about adopting a 1,500-pound dairy cow for your classroom mascot? The photos and stories we’ll send you about her life on the farm will make her come alive for your students! Bring agriculture into the classroom this school year with the Adopt a Cow program – register your classroom beginning May 1.

The farm guy in me loves when education pushes boundaries like this! Work ethic and caring for something other than yourself is hard to teach in books. Great job JAE and hope to see this spread to every school in Sumner County.

Kicking off strawberry festival weekend with a BANG!
Thank you Portland Chamber of Commerce and City of Portland for a great night! I highly encourage you to mark your calendars for this event next year. Live band, food trucks and a fireworks show to rival any other.
Great night at Top Golf Nashville supporting an even better cause in Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home with their annual fundraiser. Thankful to have ministries like these right in our back yard.
A few weeks ago, I tagged along with several other commissioners to check out the progress on our new county courthouse. It was exciting to see the much needed space that our court system will soon have but also the growth potential the building will have so that it will service the county’s needs as we continue to grow for the next several decades.
Spending part of the morning with the impressive 1st graders over at Oakmont Elementary was a great way to start the day!
