Provo Grandview South Stake
Outdoor anniversary event on 9.8.21 is at the Stake Center. 6 pm for dinner or drop in until 8 pm.
We had a great time with our friends and neighbors last night! Thanks to all who helped make it happen. Especially thanks to Marvellous Catering, ZeesyBake cupcakes, DJ Will Toutai, Purcell cousin Samoan dancers, American Rythm clogging and the Toutai girls! 👏👍💕
There were many selfless servers who set up, cleaned up and offered time and talents. We do live in a special place with special people! 🍎

Today is the day! Gather with us at the Stake Center for a great “50th” party! We look forward to seeing our neighbors and friends and chatting over dinner!
This is a photo of our Grandview predecessors chatting over sorting fruit at the storehouse that used to be off 1460 on the Northwest corner of the hill.
If you’d like to bring old pictures or scrapbooks to share on Wednesday, we welcome it! Here’s two from Marie Dayton Purcell. One is her Grandmother Alberta O’Brien who passed away in 2001 while living in the Stake.
Also a picture of Marie’s Mom and children coming out of the Stake Center. Marie says, “the Stake and 14th Ward completely took care of us after my Dad passed away. We love the Grandview South Stake.”
The best place to add them is over on our group page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/581034899597751
You don't have to make dinner next Wednesday!
See you at the Stake Center!
Hi neighbors! Join us on our Stake "group" page to share memories and photos!

Jack and Jeannine Marvell have lived on Grandview Hill for over 50 years! Their company, Marvellous Catering, will provide a delicious dinner for us on September 8th! Jack gives a teaser here:
It’s a 50th Anniversary/birthday, and that calls for cake!
Thanks to ZeesyBake, we will enjoy some delicious cupcakes on the 8th.
Founder and baker Elise Goodson says, “In 2019 I started up a cake and cupcake business with my brother called ZeesyBake. Shortly after we got it all started, my family moved into the Grandview South Stake. During my time living there my business really began to grow and we were able to make over a hundred cakes and thousands of mini cupcakes. We loved our time in the stake, but recently moved to a different part of Provo. I am so excited to still have the chance to be apart of celebrating such an amazing stake by making mini cupcakes for this event. We will be making vanilla, chocolate chocolate, red velvet, and orange cream mini cupcakes.“
Put it on the calendar!
In anticipation of our Stake's 50th Anniversary Celebration, we want to hear YOUR history here on Grandview!
Once we have 50 COMMENTS below, one lucky winner will get a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory CARAMEL APPLE! (in honor of the apple orchards that once filled this hill). Consider answering one of these?
*When did your family come here and what brought you here?
*If you lived here 50 years ago, what memories do you have of Grandview Hill?

We’d love a comment if you were there for the groundbreaking, and what you remember!
Friends! Who has an old Grandview Orchard tree still in their yard? What kind?
How long have YOU lived here? Post a pic of you/your family from the year you came!
