Schedule of the XVII Mexican Symposium on Medical Physics.

50% FINACIAL SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS ON REGISTRATION TO THE SYMPOSIUM, send application and proof of student status to [email protected]

Thanks to the efforts and negotiations of the Local Organizing Committee, the Medical Physics Division of the Mexican Physics Society is now in a position to offer a 50% financial support for students in the XVIIMSMP registration fees.

This is open both for students who send a contribution to the symposium
and to students (physics and related areas, local and foreign) who wish
to attend all the talks of the Symposium.

Interested students must send their application in free format and a
certification of their student status in a recognized school to
[email protected]

We offer a compensation for those students already registered.

The works presented in the XVII Mexican Symposium on Medical Physics will be published in the American Institute of Physics (AIP) conference proceedings after a peer review process.
The extended deadline for the manuscript submission is September 2, 2022.

The maximum page numbers that will be accepted are:

Plenary Talk: 10 pages
Invited Talk: 8 pages HERNÁNDEZ-GARCÍA_XVIIMSMP
Oral and special presentation: 6 pages
Poster presentation: 4 pages

"In-person" attendance places for pre-symposium school XVIIMSMP 2022

To those of you who have or know students interested in participating in the pre-symposium school prior to the XVIIMSMP, a few places are offered to attend in person. The pre-symposium school will take place on 5 and 6 September at Instituto de Investigaciones Médico Biológicas, UV, Veracruz, Mexico and offers the following workshops (http://xviimsmp.org ):

EVALUATION OF A SIMULATOR TOMOGRAPH FOR CANCER DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT

September 6:
LINAC IMRT PROTOCOL FOR PROSTATE TREATMENT: PLANNING, QA, EXTERNAL VERIFICATION AND TREATMENT

Due to covid restrictions there is a limited availability so those interested should let us know as soon as possible, with deadline on 17th June. Interested participants should provide a document stating they are registered at a postgraduate program on medical physics and sent it to this email address: [email protected]
A random selection will be made of possible attendants.

For selected students the pre-symposium school subscription fee will be condoned and accommodation for two nights at Veracruz will be provided. There will be no financial support for travelling expenses.

The deadline for submission of the abstract for the XVII Mexican Symposium on Medical Physics will be extended to Friday, May 6 2022 instead of April 22, 2022.

As a reminder, abstracts must be written in English (the official
language of the Symposium). Acceptance notification will be provided on June 3, 2022.
