Brining a turkey is easier than you think thanks to these tips from Sandy and her kitchen crew.
By following these steps, your turkey will be tender, moist, and full of flavor:

Step 1: Check that your turkey isn’t pre-salted or self-basting.
Step 2: Unwrap the turkey and remove giblets/neck.
Step 3: Place the turkey in a large pot.
Step 4: Prepare your brine solution in a separate pot. Heat 1 qt (1L) of water with 1 cup (250 mL) of kosher salt and any veggies, citrus peels, or aromatics you prefer.
Step 5: Next, add 3 qts (3L) of cold water to the brine solution and then pour over turkey.
Step 6: Brine your turkey for 12 to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
Step 7: Rinse the turkey in cool water and pat dry. For crispier skin, allow the turkey to dry in the fridge for an additional 24 hours.
Step 8: Roast the turkey but keep in mind, you will want to temp check earlier than planned because brined turkey cooks quicker.

Check back tomorrow for turkey roasting instructions!

Yesterday we shared how to perfectly brine your turkey and today we’re going to tell you how to roast it to perfection!

Step 1: Adjust your oven rack so the turkey will sit in the center of the oven.
Step 2: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
Step 3: Remove turkey from packaging and remove the neck and giblets.
Step 4: Season the turkey inside and out with butter or oil, salt, and pepper.
Step 5: Stuff it with a quartered lemon, onion, apple, and herbs.
Step 6: Tie the legs and tuck the wings under the bird.
Step 7: Roast in pan with a rack for about 13–15 minutes per pound, or until internal temperature (inserted in the middle of the thigh and breast) reaches about 160°F (71°C). Then, tent it with foil, and let it rest on the counter. It will keep cooking until it reaches 165°F (74°C).).
Step 8: Check the turkey about halfway through cooking, and once the skin gets golden brown, cover the top of the turkey with tinfoil, to protect the breast meat from overcooking.

On this 🍹, we’re sharing this beautiful cocktail that’s perfect for the holidays (and easy to make too).

Ingredients:
1 bottle (750 mL) dry rosé wine
1 cup (250 mL) cranberry juice cocktail
½ cup (125 mL) orange juice
½–1 tsp (5 mL) Korintje Cinnamon
Optional: Sliced blood orange

Directions:
Pour the wine into a large, zipper-sealed freezer bag. Freeze overnight, or until the wine is frozen. The alcohol won’t freeze in the wine, so it’ll look like a thick slush.

Combine the cranberry juice cocktail, orange juice, and spices in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

Pour the juice mixture into the pitcher of the Deluxe Cooking Blender. Add the frozen wine and blend on CUSTOM, speed 6, until fully incorporated, about 10 seconds. (Don’t over-blend—this will cause the wine to melt.)

Pour evenly into glasses, garnish with a slice of blood orange (optional), and serve.
