Enchanting Bee's Potions

Hand crafted natural potions, including our magical Enchanting Ache Balm, made with natural ingredie Our natural ache balm truly is a magical potion!

Originally created for a family member who fell off a ladder, we use only ingredients we would put on our own family and friends (because we do!), and we price it as low as possible so that regular working-class folks can afford quality natural ingredients. Our ethics and morals guide our company. We start with a magical oil base infused with flowers and herbs grown organically on our urban food f

The entire deodorant lineup in six flavors!

Which one sounds good to you?

🐝 Moon Garden (Cardamom, rose, vetiver)
🐝 Hippie in the Woods (woodsy and fresh)
🐝 Sweet Orchard (sweet and fruity)
🐝 Panther (Bay Rum, Sandalwood, teakwood)
🐝 Solstice (Cinnamon, Vanilla, Baked goods)
🐝 Softness (Lavender and babies)

All six scents are mixed. Time to make the deodorant! It's taken about 5 years to perfect the formula for a deodorant that actually works and makes your armpit a happier place. The last year has been perfecting and narrowing down the scent offerings. I think I'm pretty happy with them.

Local folks, feel free to come by on Black Friday for the pop-up show if you'd like to check it out and smell it before you buy it! (I'll put the flyer for the sale that has the address in hours in the comments)

In case you're looking for magic this summer, here are some hints about where to search. 🐝

Even if you don't find a creature, you're likely to experience quite a bit of magic spending time with forests, gardens, air, flowers. clouds, farms, trees, animals, caves, and especially with bees! πŸ’šπŸ

Straining out some fresh Magic Oil today. I just love the color it gets from the calendula!

We have a fresh batch of original scent Enchanting Ache Balm ready to go if anybody needs some.

There was an issue with the website disconnecting from Square, so if you tried to check out last week and couldn't, please try again! Let me know if it isn't fixed.

The Enchanting Bee will be on hiatus from the 19th to the 25th, so anything ordered after June 18th will be mailed June 26th. Get those orders in today or tomorrow and we'll get them out before we go!

Tonight in the drying oast: a Mixture of Mints.

Spearmint, chocolate mint, strawberry mint, apple mint, Persian mint, a ruffly one my daughter loves but I've forgotten the name of, and my favorite: blue balsam tea mint.

Today's Quick Hedgewitchery: Chive Blossom Vinegar

Time: ten minutes
Method:
1. Go snip your chives. Leave a little on the plants, and it will grow back for a second harvest later. Rinse them off, and give them a few minutes for any critters to wander out.
2. Set some vinegar (white or apple cider; I used a mix of both) in the tea kettle to boil.
3. Snip the chive blossoms off, and then snip the rest of the chive greens into smaller pieces.
4. Throw the blossoms and the greens into a clean jar with an airtight stopper.
5. When the vinegar gets to boiling, pour it over the chives right up to the top of the stopper so there's no air. Give it a good stir, throw the stopper on, and let it set for 3 days to a week, giving it a little shake every once in awhile.
6. It should turn a lovely pink. Strain it into a pouring jar, and enjoy straight or in a salad dressing.

Protips:
1. Once you plant chives, they'll grow back bigger and spread every year.
2. Look for pretty and practical jars like these at "little old lady estate sales," where they can often be had for a dollar or so. I like to imagine the person who had these originally would be thrilled to know they were still living their best life.

Just added a new "Light" scent option for our Enchanting Ache Balm. A fresh batch is available in 1 oz, 2 oz, or sample sizes.

Love the pain relief but not the strong scent? This one's for you.

Light scent is created with oil lightly infused with lavender from our garden (pictured below), lemon fragrance, and benzoin (a vanilla-like essential oil traditionally used for its antimicrobial properties). The herbal smell of the magical oil infusion, as well as the scent of the cocoa butter, also come through in this mix.

If you love the original scent with tea tree, clove, cinnamon, and peppermint (all chosen for their traditional healing uses), that is also available.

I've been leaving my calendula for the early spring bees, but now that the fruit trees are finally blooming I decided to harvest the calendula. Found this sweet little bee taking a nap, and decided they could have that one.

Harvesting our favorite early spring ephemeral: purple dead nettle. It's an excellent antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory herb.

A customer asked if I had a lip balm that was kind of like Enchanting Ache Balm, but without the CBD and, obviously, could go on lips. So I made some for her.

Experimenting with two different formulas and using up some old plastic tubes from ages ago as well as giving a test run to some cardboard tubes. I'm going to use it myself for a little while and see what I can tweak to make it fabulous. If it goes well, I'll be offering it in the store.

Would you be interested in lip balm? What flavors would you like to see?

The calendula is STILL blooming. πŸ’šπŸ΅οΈAll of this fresh picked today and heading to dry before getting infused in some healing oil.

Art under the flowers is by the late and wonderful Kelly Keigwin.

Working on a special order of Enchanting Ache Balm for a friend with a mint allergy. This one will only have calendula, yarrow, and capsicum in the healing oil, so that there's no chance of crossover from other mint family members. All other ingredients will be the same, minus the peppermint essential oil. The calendula and yarrow are fresh picked this morning, and the capsicum is coming from the most adorable little death spiral pepper from this summer's garden. Thank goodness for a mild winter so far!

If you also have a mint allergy and would like a jar of this limited edition, please send us a message. Note that it will not be ready for Christmas because the oil will take about a week to infuse...

Hi humans! It's not too late to order a magic potion for holiday gifting!

I offer free no-contact pick up in downtown Vancouver, $2 no-contact delivery in the greater Vancouver/Portland area, and shipping all over the country. If you'd like to order for a gift, I have little gift boxes and can write a message on it for you as well. Just let me know what you need! Use code GIFTBEES for free gift boxes now through January 7th.

About this potion:
I start with a healing oil base infused with medicinal herbs (calendula, yarrow, etc) from my urban organic garden in downtown Vancouver. I turn it into a balm that spreads well, so a little lasts a long time, and include 50mg/oz of 99+% pure CBD isolate. It also has organic essential oils for added healing power and a wonderful smell.

I've challenged myself to use sustainable practices, high quality natural ingredients, and packaging that is plastic free, yet keep the price as low as possible ($10/oz) so that normal humans can afford stuff without nasty chemicals. We don't put anything in it that I wouldn't put on my own family, because we DO put it on our own family! My customers like to use it for aches from arthritis, injuries, athletics, or cramps, sunburns, bruises, tension headaches, etc.

Covid19 Safety is VERY important to us. As an immune-compromised human, the Enchanting Bee is extra careful.

All ingredients are packed hot and sealed while hot to keep out harmful germs; once closed, we don't open them again. When a product is ordered, it is wiped down completely with a sanitizing wipe before the stickers are placed. It's then put directly into its packaging with sanitized hands.

We offer no-contact pickup and delivery for local folks in the Portland-Vancouver area, and shipping for non-locals.

The meals of thanks have been consumed, so let the warmth and light of the winter holidays begin! Enchanting Ache Balm makes a great gift for folks with aches.
