I thought I’d start this year off with an announcement I’ve been meaning to do for a while now, the announcement of my upcoming album, Arctic Expedition

Arctic Expedition is a 7 track album which surfaced from a project with interest in the mysteries and extreme conditions in the inhabitable Arctic.

All tracks are currently finished along with this fantastic artwork originally drawn by Jack Sutton Draws and edited by myself.

We are so pleased to announce that ZTR002 will be releasing October 1st!

Our second EP instalment comes from Nightdrive! Nightdrive's EP "Heart-to-Heart Talks" delivers four tracks which will really get your brain dancing with elements of techno, UKG and IDM.

"in general, the current autumn made itself felt and the tracks turned out to be a little viscous, experimental in an electronic way, although I never like to put stamps on one genre or another, I constantly look for myself in different things and the truth at the moment is in what happened, what I feel"

We are absolutely stoked to announce that the first Zen Tapes EP release is coming this September and no other person to kick the EPs off than recent contributor Liam James Tulpa

Liam, who sets out to "express a message of creativity and emotion through sound" brings us 5 ambient pieces that send us on a journey for The Eternal Quest for Balance (this is the EP name). Five tracks that will not only send you on a quest but make you feel like you are floating, an EP we highly recommend having a listen through while relaxing and opening your mind. Liam has definitely shown us once again a masterclass in ambient soundscapes.

Full release is set on September 3rd right on Bandcamp Friday where it will be available to buy along with being available here. For those lucky enough to be on the promotion list, promos will be sent out this week! We hope you are just as excited as we are. Here's to this release being the first of many to come!

Firstly, we would like to thank you all for the massive support on our first release! We never expected the amount of support considering this label is still very fresh. Now that we have taken a long break we are now open for demos!

With our demos policy we like to not only keep the sound we like to put out but help artists grow. The sound we are looking for is strictly ambient soundscapes (any genre or style is welcome as long as it fits the sound we are looking for) if by any chance it isn't we are always happy to give feedback and if we know a label that would better suit we are happy to guide you towards them so you and your tracks can reach maximum potential!

Liam James Tupla is the ambient project and one of Liams many aliases. Liam's emotion filled ambient and drone tracks are definitely office favourites, one album in particular to point out is his album 'Positive Disintegration' created alongside Leif Wyn. Here at Zen Tapes we won’t be focused on genres, we will only be focused on soundscapes. At Zen Tapes we take inspiration from meditation, relaxation and a “Zen state of mind”.
