Camping, sailing, enjoying the sun during the day and the northern lights during evening ๐๐.
What else do I need?!
Camping is not necessarily uncomfortable nor limiting. On the contrary, it can be quite comfortable, full of opportunities for us to try different foods such as mushrooms and fruits, different levels of connection with people and with nature, that we were not used to have before ๐.
For example, making food outdoors brings another experience to cooking. Enjoying the sunset with a friend may bring different types of conversations. Sleeping in a small 'cave' may bring a sense of fun and coziness. Plus, we can have encounters with wild animals, and we are able to look at the sky more often! ๐

Northern Lights today, in the summer?!
Yes, believe me!
Harvesting and sharing food, time, work...
My friend and I have started this work together in her kolonilott (community garden). It has been a delightful experience to see the vegetables growing, to chat, to help and teach each other about farming, to be in deep contact with nature and with friends. ๐
Unfortunately, the world has become more and more individualistic. Each one has their own house, own money, own time. Sharing has become unusual. And we're becoming more and more lonely, that's the truth. ๐
But we're here to challenge that, to start sharing our spaces, to start seeing things more as a collective than as individual. ๐
Local communities such as indigenous peoples have been doing that for centuries, and they deeply know the value of it. What modern society is struggling to do, they do it naturally.
So, let's find inspiration in such a way of living, and let's find ways to live a happier and more fulfilled life, let's share more! ๐
For a more joyful life! โค๏ธ

Okinawa is amazing! ๐๐ฉต
Falling down and rebuilding stronger.
Shurijo is one of the most important castles in Okinawan history. It was constructed in the 14th century, passed through adversities such as fires, and it is currently under a new restoration.
The local communities have been volunteering to break down the remaining bricks into material that will be utilised for the restoration. It is an example of patience, togetherness, and sustainability, which makes this restoration even more special. ๐
Valuing what we have is so important. I don't mean about being attached to all material stuffs we have, but to appreciate the resources we have, what nature offered us, our culture, and our history. ๐
Only by appreciating what we have, that we can really take good care of it. Have you thought about it? That only by appreciating nature, is that we can really be sustainable, understanding its cycles and taking care of it. ๐ฑ
If you're in Okinawa, I strongly recommend to visit Shurijo. You can't go inside the castle but you can walk around the gardens, and you can watch workers rebuilding this magnificent castle, that is getting even more beautiful and special in every restoration it passes through. ๐
May the forest be with you! ๐ณ

Mount Kurama is not only a wonderful place to visit but is also the birthplace of the Reiki, which is a healing technique using the hands.
Reiki is spread all over the world, and practitioner can utilise the technique on themselves and on others. โจ๏ธ
I am also a Reiki practitioner, and I must say that Reiki has changed my life in many ways. I have done some courses, being one of them given by Aline from . She is a brilliant personal trainer and an excellent Reiki master who has done a lot of volunteering work, helping out people with Reiki. If you are interested in training, I strongly recommend her. ๐
Reiki has helped me to understand my own self-regulating and self-healing power. It has also helped me to understand myself better and to be able to help people I love. And even better, by doing Reiki on others, I also benefit from it myself. โจ๏ธ

The appreciation of the old and the welcome of the new. Something to learn from Japan!
Japan has blue ponds!... and birches ๐ฑ
It was a surprise for me, I didn't know there were so many similar species between Japan and Europe. They're different varieties, but definitely are feom the same "tribe". ๐ One some similarity between Japan and Sweden โ
๏ธ
This place is called Shirogane Blue Pond, located in Biei, Hokkaido.
The color of the pond is due to hot spring elements such as sulfur that, when combined, generates this beautiful blue. ๐
It is so interesting that the stems of dead (or almost dead) remain there in the pond, creating this beautiful vertical pattern that mirrors on the water. ๐ฉต
The birches, called in Japanese "shirakaba", are charachterised by their white stem, with serrated edge leaves and by changing colors according to the seasons, until they loose all of them by the end of autumn (deciduous trees). ๐ Birches are not only beautiful but also provide several medicinal benefits. I particularly like the taste of birch leaves tea. โ๏ธ
Nature is really amazing, isn't it?! ๐๐
May the forest be with you!
Summer is so special with its new life, energy, colors! And even more because it's in Japan! ๐ฏ๐ต
It has been a discovery to come to my grandparents' home island, Hokkaido. I can see so many similarities between Hokkaido and Sweden, such as climate, city, buildings, and even in nature. ๐ฒ๐ณ
At the same time, I imagine my grandparents living here and wondering how was it, how was their life that time, how was it to face the cold and to overcome adversities in those times... Then, I start to think that it makes more sense why I chose Sweden. Maybe because deep inside I was relating to a lot of my ancestors, even I didn't realise before eheheh. โค๏ธ
Today, we got to know the Tomita Farm's lavender fields in Furano. They are open for visit only in a specific time of the year, so I feel very thankful that I could get to experience this. ๐ชป
The cute (kawaii โบ๏ธ) train to come here, the stores, and even the rain that we experienced only made the day more unique! The rain potentialised the smell of the lavender fields and changed the colors of the landscape bringing an amazing sense of peace! ๐ง
Everything was in the right place, the right time. ๐
All of these experiences are only inspiring me more and more, and bringing more ideas for my forest bathing sessions. ๐
Forest bathing is not only in the forest!
It can be by the beach as well, so I would call it a different type of bathing, that is quite healing as well. ๐
By being present, listening to the sounds of the water and the animals, feeling the sea smell, you can get so many benefits! No need to be an expert to feel that, right? ๐
The sea water has lots of negative ions that wash ourselves, and we get automatically calmer with that and with the constant sounds of sea waves ๐.
Also, is there a better place to meditate than the beach? I don't think so ๐.
May the sea be with you!

Bonsai trees of respectively 1000, 500, 350 and 120 years old. ๐ฒ๐
I can't even imagine how could it be to live this long and experience so many things! Also, how much care and attention they received by "bonsai masters" in order for them to continue living, healthy and vigorous. ๐
The land of rising sun has so much to teach us about patience, care and appreciation for nature. To think nature's cycle in long term, against all our need to rush and to have immediate results in our life. ๐ผ
If you are Japan, come to Omya's Bonsai Art Museum, it's worth the visit!
Priscilla's breadspread: sun-dried tomatoes with kirskรฅl
Kirskรฅl, or ground elder, is a widespread w**d in Europe and Asia. In some countries, it can become an invasive species that takes over and is difficult to control.
But the good part is that this plant is edible and can be used as a spinach! Plus, it contains plenty of bitamin C, A, and minerals. ๐ฑ
So next time you do some w**ding in your garden, or passing by a forest, collect them and use them in soups or other dishes. Here I teach you a breadspread recipe I invented:
Ingredients:
- 6 sun-dried tomatoes
- half cup of quinoa of any color
- 2 cups ground elder leaves
- olive oil
- oregano
- basil
- spices (black pepper, chilli, paprika)
How to prepare:
- Sautรฉ the ground elder leaves for some minutes until cooked, do it with some garlic if you want. Add the hydrated sun-dried tomatoes and sautรฉ a bit more. In this meantime, cook the quinoa in water.
Blend all ingredients to a mixer with salt, olive oil, spices and oregano, and some water (you can use the one you used to hydrate your sun-dried tomatoes).
It's done! Enjoy the spread with a good bread and basil leaves on the top. ๐
Attention! Please be sure you're taking the right leaves, because some plant species can be poisonous.
Smultron (wild strawberries), strawberries... so sweet, organic, from my garden ๐ ๐ ๐

After a long day of work in the garden, walking around and enjoying the sunset.๐
What was the last day you saw the sky? That you spent some minutes there observing its colors, the cloud shapes, the stars, the moon...
I invite you to spend some time per day in nature, breathing the fresh air, feeling the temperature and observing the environment around you. By doing that, you may lots of benefits: a better sleep, increased energy levels, better immune system, less stress, depression and less anxiety. It's real, and several studies show that. ๐

Eating, preparing the soil, planting, harvesting...
It is a lot of work to plant our own food. But then it is rewarding to see the vegetables growing and to harvest them at the end. Tasteful, colorful, fresh and free of pesticides! ๐๐ฅฌ๐ฅฆ๐ฅ๐
My friend and I are together in this project to work on her community garden. And I've been learning many things on gardening, at the same time that we share responsibilities, share our time and our food. ๐
The more this feeling of community, the more one can do. Also, being so close to the soil always brings up a sense of peace and satisfaction. ๐
One tip for those in Sweden: if you want to find a land to work on, ask out if anyone needs help with their own garden. It's a great way to learn from each other and to build a community. โค๏ธ Plus, it's so much work that people always need a lot of help, so it's a very good help for them.
That's what I did when I was recovering from burnout, and the healing benefits of this activity definitely helped me to recover quickly. ๐
It's a moment to enjoy the sun, all nature's benefits! ๐

Walking and exploring a new place...
The Biaลowieลผa Forest is a UNESCO natural heritage site. It is a huuge forest. ๐ฎ Here, it is possible to see one of the very few remaining Europeโs original landscape and wildlife. ๐ณ
This important wetland is a haven for several birds, mammals and insects. The existence of old, decaying and new trees make an ecosystem for several types of animals, and some of them can only be found here!
The surrounding houses bring an extra charm to this remote area. ๐ก
I've always wanted to come here to experience the majestic biodiversity of this forest, and I've asked so much that we saw a bison quite close to us! ๐ฆฌ
Scary experience ๐จ. But all went well!
