BNI Virtually Unstoppable met for their weekly meeting on Tuesday and our member speaker was Heidi Mawson from New York Life. Her presentation included information about the foundation and core values of New York Life and the financial ratings they hold as the largest mutual life insurance company in the country. She discussed the various products and solutions they offer for individuals and why New York Life is so much more than just life insurance. In fact, they are proud to offer everything from retirement planning, business solutions, long-term care, and investments. However, the focus of the session revolved around whole life insurance; what it is, who it's for, and what it can do. She also went over a new product they are offering that coincides directly with life whole life insurance called a Premium Deposit Account. This gives consumers the opportunity to prepay their life insurance premiums while earning a very competitive interest rate on the funds deposited. (See attached).

Overall, the purpose of this session was to build awareness of the need and value of lifetime protection and how Heidi can help individuals ensure the security of their financial future with New York Life.

Dan Faye, Virtually Unstoppable Member, will be our featured guest speaker next Tuesday, 1/23/24. He’ll be taking the group through a brief tax return boot camp. He will touch on some income tax statistics and go over various parts of the income tax return forms. He will also talk about some differences between deductions and credits and highlight some of the more popular ones. He’ll also explain how the tax brackets work.

The presentation would be geared towards those individuals that want to gain a little more understanding of how a tax return works.
