CAN YOU TELL WHEN GOD SPEAKS?
(Learn To Distinguish The Voice Of God From Others)

📖TO THE BIBLE: John 10:27 NIV “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

LET’S TALK⏭
“I think God wants me to lay hands on our Pastor,” Brother Charles said to two other care group leaders soberly.

“That’s contrary to what Hebrews 7:7 says,” Brother John pointed out to him.

“Yeah, but it was God’s instruction to me!” Charles maintained.

“No, Charles, God’s Word never contradicts itself. You misunderstood what the Holy Spirit was telling you.” Jane said, “God would rather have us intercede on Pastor’s behalf instead, as the Word said to do in 1 Thessalonians 5:25, 2 Thessalonians 3:1 and Hebrews 13:18.”

Many wonder if it’s possible to hear God speak in a world where there’re so many voices. The words of the Master in John 10:2-5 clarify this. The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). The key is understanding God’s Word. The more you study the Word, the more you recognise and know the voice of God, because God and His Word are one. He speaks through His Word.

Everything He tells you, every direction or guidance you receive from Him, always sides up with His Word. Through meditation on His Word, His voice becomes clearer to you, even in the midst of all the noise and distractions.

If you’ve previously found it difficult to recognise God’s voice, the solution is simple: spend more time studying the Word! Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom….” Proverbs 4:20-21 NIV says, “My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart.” If you keep God’s Word in your heart, you’ll always hear the Word in your heart and recognise when He speaks to you. When God looks at you, He doesn’t see a helpless, needy person who’s always looking for a way out.

He sees a king; He sees someone full of dominion and authority!

You’ve been ordained by God to reign and rule in the realm of life; He has made you superior to the devil and every demon of darkness.

Not only does God expect you to see yourself as a king, He also expects you to live as one.

How do you practise kingship? It begins from your consciousness. You must make up your mind that you’re going to walk, talk, pray and live as a king.

The scripture says God has made you a king, so you look into the mirror and tell the fellow in that mirror, “You’re a king!” Then you ask yourself, “How do kings behave?” One thing is sure: kings they make decrees! So start making declarations of faith.
Begin to exercise your God-given authority and dominion over the devil and the negative forces of life. This kind of consciousness will affect your prayer life
and all the beggarly prayer prayers will be a thing of the past.

When you pray, you should minister to God as a priest and make decrees as a king. You are a king, born of the king of kings! Your words are backed with power; they contain an inherent, dynamic ability to change any negative situation and put the devil to flight.
Therefore, be bold to speak in line with God’s Word. Be bold to make decrees, and whatever you decree shall be established unto you.
Practicing kingship will affect even your posture and gait. It’ll get rid of the slouch from your walk and put some spring in your steps.
It’ll cause you to square your shoulders, hold your head up, and walk with dignity!

SHINE FOR THE WORLD TO SEE
(You’re A Bright Light In The Midst Of Darkness)

📖TO THE BIBLE 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

LET’S TALK⏭
The Bible says God has called us into His marvellous, overwhelming light. This means we dwell in light; we’re children of light. Jesus also stated this in Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world….” What a blessing! We’re the light of the world!

To catch this truth, you have to first understand what light is. Light is that which makes manifest. Light describes. Ephesians 5:13 AMPC says, “…When anything is exposed and reproved by the light, it is made visible and clear; and where everything is visible and clear there is light.” In other words, light shows you what’s present. It leads you in the way and gives direction. Light brings fulfilment and joy. When you show up, darkness disappears.

Darkness represents sin, death, evil and all the negative things that are associated with Satan. Jesus said: “…I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12). Like Jesus, you’re the light of the world and have the light of life. You’ve been brought out of darkness into the supernatural life of glory. Arise and shine. Refuse to allow the works of darkness to manifest themselves in your life, for there’s no darkness in your life.

Matthew 5:16 says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Don’t just shine; shine brightly. Let the intensity of your light dazzle and discomfit Satan, his demons and the negative works of darkness. Let it inspire those around you to praise and glorify your heavenly Father, as they see and experience your good works—your w

_(Be Concerned For Those Who May Have Strayed Away)_

*LET’S TALK*

*“Speaking of Sylvester, I don’t think I’ve seen him in Church for a while; perhaps I will give him a call?” “Better yet, let’s go visit him at his place; I’m sure he will appreciate the visit,”* Tim suggested to Carl.

In a church, particularly one with a large congregation, it’s possible for some members to be inconsistent in their attendance; some may even have stopped coming altogether. This may not be immediately obvious, especially if the church is always full during the services.

As Christians and soul winners, we should be concerned enough to know if anyone in our congregation has strayed away or fallen by the wayside. In Luke 15, the Lord Jesus told the parable of a shepherd with one hundred sheep. One of them got missing, and he left the ninety-nine in the wilderness to search for the missing sheep. When he found it, he carried it home rejoicing and invited his friends and neighbours to celebrate with him. Then, Jesus said, *“…Likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance”* (Luke 15:7).

Jesus was preaching here to the Jews. He was talking to them about the lost. Understand that He wasn’t talking about one who had never come to the Lord but one who had strayed away. There’s a difference between the one who has never been inside (the church) and the one who was inside but strayed away. Remember, Jesus was dealing with the Old Testament church here, so He wasn’t referring to the lost sinners of the world.

Matthew 10:5-6 says, *“These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the

BUILD YOUR FAITH STRONG
(God Has Given You Faith, So Grow And Develop It.)

📖 Romans 12 vs 13 -- "God hath dealt to every one the measure of Faith"

LET'S TALK ⏩
"God has given to everyone in Christ the measure of faith. He isn't going to provide you with faith when you pray hard long enough, He's already done it. He's given you the measure of faith. Each one of us was given the same measure of faith when we received the gospel. According to the Lord Jesus even the smallest measure of faith can move and nothing will be impossible for you. (Matthew 17:20)

The Lord however, doesn't want you to remain at this level of mustard-seed faith, He wants your faith to grow and be strong. Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. The emphasis is on "hearing" that is acting on the word. Your faith will be weak, if you don't exercise it, it's like someone who keeps eating but doesn't exercise, his muscles will grow big but weak.

In the same manner, God's word is food to your spirit. If you keep receiving God's word and do nothing with it, your faith will be weak. Weak faith causes people to stagger and as a result, fear grips them and they're defeated by the crises of life. However the cure for weak faith is putting the word to work, the greater and stronger your faith.

The Bible says Abrahim did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith giving glory to God (Romans 4:20) Build your faith strong by using it even in the seemingly small or simple matter of life. Exercise your faith all the time. Don't allow that headache or pain, use your faith against it. Act on the word and build your faith strong.

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that boisters faith in my spirit and causes me to see and do the impossible. I'm developing and acting on the word.
