This National Quilting Day we again want to highlight one of our favorite events of the year for our , Uncle Eli's Quilting Party!🧵

Uncle Eli’s is a free, public, non-commercial community event sponsored by the Alamance County Recreation Department and a dedicated group of local volunteers who love quilting, Eli Whitney, and local history! 👥🗣

The 2024 Quilting Party is being held on Thursday, April 4 at the Eli Whitney Recreation Center. The party will start at 8:30 a.m. and end with a potluck lunch wrapping up around 1 p.m. 🍉🥗🍰🥧🍽

This will be the quilting party’s 93nd year, and while it is much the same year after year, the one constant is that they will only show what people bring to show. It is truly a “pop-up” quilt show, so if you have a quilt you want to display, please see their page for all the details of how to do it. They would love to hang your quilt for the morning! 🪡

If you need more information about this event or its history, you can visit their in page or call 919-259-8510 📞
