REPOSTED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES...
Anna ISD Parents,
If you still need to complete a free/reduced lunch application for your child/children for the 2023/2024 school year, your last day is 09/05/2023. After this day, your carry-over benefit for the first 30 days of school will expire, and lunch accounts will be changed to full-paid status regardless of eligibility.
Lunch applications are available online at www.myschoolapps.com. If you would like to discuss your qualifications or talk to someone about your needs, please call Nancy Willis at 972-924-1029 or Ivelisse Maldonado at 972-924-1028, and we will do whatever we can to help you. If your income and family size change, you may reapply for a free or reduced-price meal anytime during the school year.
Thank you,
Mitch Burney
Anna ISD Child Nutrition Director
With so many events coming we need help. These events cannot be done by the board alone. PLEASE consider volunteering for counting for penny wars (a board member will be present with you due to money being involved) Muffins with Mom (especially dad volunteers so mom can be with their kids) and the spring dance!!!! Please consider helping out.
I will always encourage first and foremost that you go use the complaint process in the featured posts each and every time you have a new complaint.
For now, I am encouraging you all to watch this video and listen to what Comeaux says in the video. Please then show up and speak at the next board meeting.
We need to show up as a community to pressure the necessary changes. Please write up what you wish to say and be aware there is a 5 minute time limit to speak. The board will not be able to respond to you, but they need to hear from the community and way more than just the same 2 or 3 people who show up every month.
If you cannot attend, please write an email to the board, Superintendent, and both Superintendents. Board and Superintendent information is below.
I will set up a Pre Board Meeting and also do an event for the meeting.
The next board meeting is March 16th at 6:15 pm. The meetings are held at 201 E. 7th St. You will go in the building on the side where the buses park.
