Well it’s been a week

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel a lot of guilt for not posting in this last week.

I’ve been taking some time out for me and also working a lot behind the scenes to edit my Etsy shop and the website. I want to make two definitive halves to the business and am even thinking of splitting them up.

I also spent a lot more time with my family since I wasn’t concerned about filming for reels or photographing content. My orders have also totally dropped away this month so ultimately I’ve had a lot of time to think about how I’d like to grow.

As we are approaching the C word I thought it would be best to work back into the swing of things again. I’m going to start ‘batching’ the posts for here behind the scenes and schedule better, that way I can still stay creative on all the other days of the week and focus on getting all the orders out on time etc.

As of last week the algorithm seems to have changed for Instagram and they have announced they’re moving forward as a video focused platform.

This means small creators like me won’t get the exposure we used to get from Instagram simply by posting our pictures.

I have amassed 1.3K followers here but on average my posts are seen by around 60 people. I am going to give the video content challenge a go and I will be posting a Reel a day for the next 30 days.
