The Russell Hobbs Crepe Maker has a lip around the edge to stop batter dripping onto your worktop. It also has a spreader to help you achieve an even size and shape. A button heats the plate and when the batter sets, you simply use the spreader provided to check that it's cooked underneath, then turn it over. Because the plate is the same temperature all over, crepes are cooked more evenly than in a frying pan. They don't break up or stick so you avoid burnt or still-raw pieces.
