Nomad Dad
NOUNS: People, Places, Things My nomad life is not quite the same as traditional nomads of World history. As a Child I moved with my family.
The nomadic tribal nations of the Great Plains of the North American continent lived in portable lodges. Their nomadic life followed season weather changes and migratory game. Yet like the nomads of the past I have moved for the reasons of providing the necessities and comforts of live for me and my family. As a young adult I moved for educational opportunities. Later I moved for work and career.
59 years ago I started dreaming about the Idea of building a cabin on a mountain in the woods. 2 years ago on May 2nd. I bought this property. No road to it. Took three tries hiking the mountain before I finally find it. That first Summer I visited my cabin property 6 time, but things didn't work out to camp up there that year. Last year June 15th the snow had melted enough to hike to the property and start a camp. Camped there on and off until November 4th. Still too much snow to make it to the property this year. Planning to be on the property by May 15th this year.

I'm in Alabama to help my daughter build a greenhouse in her back yard. I need to use the truck for hauling things, so the topper had to be set aside for awhile. Yesterday we built these tall sawhorses. After unbolting the topper from the truck bed I lifted it just enough to slide the sawhorses under it one at a time. then I was ab le to drive out from under it.
