Luminuos Moon Cosplay

All those trimmings ! And that’s not even all of it 🙈😱
Couldn’t get the right color, so I need to spray paint everything before I can attach it to the rest of my fabrics...

But I ran out of fabrics both for trimming and the rest of the blue parts 🙈 guess I need to go shop for more 🙈🤣

So I finally finished the armor and most details!

Found the most perfect buttons, but they were way too gold and shiny, so I messed them up a bit 🙈

And the bags are almost all done, I only need to finish the closing part

Now I started to work on the sewing parts and staff 😍

Finally some progress on Jaina 😍 took a few try outs to get the right size on the staff and it’s details, also ended up changing the spikes 😅

Currently on vacation with my lovely boyfriend in lovely Rhodes

But when I get home I will continue on lovely Jaina Proudmore 😍 she’s just at home, waiting for my return 🤣

Soooo ~ I’m kinda cheating on my banshee queen at the moment 😅

But couldn’t resist Jaina Proudmores new build

Finished some armor pieces and now I’m waiting for the seal to dry on the other armor pieces, so I can sand it again and add the details 😍

Nearly done cutting out all the bigger pieces ! It sure is taking a bit of time 😅

And faith wanted that I ran out of the big mats, luckily I have tons of smaller mats we used for our bunnies base, but since she got a new base I can use them for props win win 😍

Next investment a knife for my soldering iron 😂

Last week our baby got a sterilization ~ and she’s finally back to her normal adventures self 😍 today she was “helping” me out with the bow 😅👏 🐇 🐰

She also got a new pretty base last week, while she were at the vet !

She is what you could refer to as a “frikanin” (free bunny) it’s a term used for when a bunny lives freely in the house (more or less)
So she runs around the whole house all day long and has fun
At night she’s at her big base and when we’re working as well ~ but she’s not living in a small cage like many poor 🐇 and other smaller animals

Finished printing and putting 2 blueprints together yesterday, for my Sylvanas bow

Now I’m prepping, separating the pieces and drawing handles and so on ! Soon !!
Soon the real work will begin ‘ 😍

When it’s been too long since you printed this pattern, and need one more ~ but you can’t remember how large you scaled it..... well clearly not by 500%...

I’ll try assembling it and see how big it is compared to myself 😅🙏

Today I started working on my bfs boots for his Halloween costume 😊👌

Going well so far, I’m looking forward to put them all together tomorrow

So I’m currently creating two costumes, one for me and one for my boyfriend

Since his will take the longest, I started on his first 😅

I’m not dead 😅

Just been super busy 😓😓
Recently I passed my theoretical exams with an A+, yay me!
That means I’ve passes 1/3 of my final exams, the last 2/3 parts are not before the end of April though

Anyhow, not long ago we celebrated my brother in-laws birthday, and he didn’t have much to wish for, so he jokingly told my boyfriend to let me be creative 😊

He’s a big fan of WoW and Blizzard, and is playing as alliances
So with the little time I had, I made a hoddie for him with a big alliance logo on the back and a smaller in the front 💪

And he was very pleased with it ❤️

Soo... this has nothing to do with cosplay ! But!!
Look at this beautiful mermaid hair, I had the honor of creating yesterday !

I simply love colorful hair 😍

What makes the US so different from Europe ?
There's just as talented people here as in the US !

How many of you are Blizzard fans and love watching the costume contest at BlizzCon every year??? For me it's always the highlight of the con! Did you know, that we have a similar contest in Europe at gamescom as well? While starting as a simple masquerade over a decade ago, the contest in the US improved a lot in the last few years by taking very good care of cosplayers, adding a proper pre-judging, having professional photoshoots, a cosplay friendly schedule, direct communication with employees and an well organized pre-registration. Blizzard puts a lot of effort into the contest, provides amazing prices and always wants everybody to have an amazing time at the contest.

Sadly in Europe the costume contest is still an afterthought. While our community is just as dedicated and creative as in the US, we struggle to find anybody from Blizzard to talk to, have to follow weird spontaneous rule changes just a few weeks before the event, a very random selection of pre-approved participants and a lack of experienced jury members with any knowledge of costume construction.

I offered them multiple times to help out with the contest in any way possible but sadly Blizzard seems to be completely overtrained here, not able to give the European community the attention and care it deserves. These are some of the biggest Blizzard fans!

I love Blizzard and their games with all my heart, but it’s sad that a company who is so supportive and amazing in the US, who organizes my favorite convention and gave me some amazing memories is so lackluster when it comes to community work in Europe. I officially worked for Blizzard before and know that writing this is probably hurting my relation, but I simply care more about the community than my own business. I hope my page has enough reach so my voice will be heard! Please spread the word if you can.

To give you an example: One contest ‚participant‘ is Tingilya Cosplay, who spent 2 years and a whole lot of research and money on her amazing Deathwing cosplay. She got into armor making, included motors, microchips and programmable LED strips, learned programming and electronics, made her wings move and her armor completely light up - yet Blizzard EU considers her to not even be good enough to go up on stage. She was already rejected last year, but pulled herself together and put an extra year of work into her costume - she was also rejected this year. You surely can understand how heartbroken she is, so please go check out her page and cheer her up! You would make her so happy!

I'm currently at the peak of my education

The last two weeks I've been on my specialty subject, where I've been doing technical creativity and hair by night 😍

This week is set in Avantgarde Garde hair and and fashion

Which means I'm currently working on my Elsa cosplay again... with some alterations 😅

Got inspired to work on a ring for Elsa from a movie yesterday, this is just a test, the original will be made in worbla and bedazzled 😍

My fabric dyeing project went great ! 😍
It turned out just perfect 👍

While the fabric is drying, I've been working on some snowflakes with rhinestones and doing some work on the jacket 😍
