🗣️ Did you know nature can nurture Language development. Getting outdoors and inviting your child to engage in gardening, watering plants or just some messy play can also support your child's linguistic development. As your child helps, narrate their actions and describe what they're doing. This teaches them to use words for description and can introduce new vocabulary. Let them join the fun outside and watch how your child’s language will grow!

Big Talk Tip Tuesday! Positive praise is a beneficial and important part of your child’s development. When we praise children it is easy to just use “Good job” repeatedly. Use different phrases to praise your child, expand, describe, and comment on why they did a good job. Some examples are
⭐️ I’m so proud of you for cleaning up your toys!
⭐️ I like the way you are sharing with your sister
⭐️ Look at that tall tower you built! That’s awesome!
⭐️ Smiles, High 5’s, and hugs are also great ways to show positive praise and reinforcement
It’s hard to believe March is here! We have a lot of great things planned.

🗣️ Did you know a simple trick to getting your little ones to imitate more sounds and words is to get down on their level or face to face. Seeing your face and mouth is going to encourage more imitation. Try incorporating fun sound effects or facial expressions throughout your routines. For example “uh-oh” with facial expressions when they drop somethingon the floor or “weeee” while pushing them on the swing.
