📣 Women’s leadership: Championing Sustainability and Climate Adaptation in Southeast Asia!

For this week’s , we have Ms. Grace Fu Hai Yien, a Singaporean politician who has been serving as the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment since 2020. 🇸🇬

Ms. Grace is also a member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP) and the Member of Parliament (MP) representing Yuhua SMC since 2011. She made a national statement for COP26 last November 9, 2021, to share Singapore’s striking efforts for sustainability and climate commitments and to call for a fair agreement in uniting with other nations to build a climate-resilient future. 🏞

Currently, Singapore has the “greenest” city in Asia and is one of the most sustainable in the world. She showed how a woman’s critical role as an agent of hope paves the way to maintain that momentum and push beyond the boundaries by championing ground-up initiatives for a sustainable homeland and livable nation. 🌿

Sustainability can be achieved by “engineering a whole system and cultivating a new way of life”. Ms. Grace inspired many young girls to step up in positions of leadership and be involved to steer the world in harmony with the environment. 🌍
