Bruno loves his pig ears! 🐷

This is how he relaxes after his work day. Enjoying a pig ear, under his blankets, in his den by his heat vent. Bruno works very hard during the day for our company . He walks for hours everyday so when he gets home, he’s always extra hungry. After he eats his pound of raw meat for dinner, he loves to follow it up with the occasion pig ear, as a special treat.

Dogs have a natural desire to gnaw and our pig ears are a great way to safety fulfill that urge. Pig ears are a great alternative to rawhide. But there is still a big difference between ears that have been made months in advance with preservatives, and our ears that our fresh to order. These are the best quality pig ears that money can buy. Bruno can attest to that!

These are the eggs that we use in our cooking here at Bruno Bites. Fresh from our flock of chickens.

We also sell eggs by the dozen for $6 a dozen. They are so fresh that they are laid either that day or the day before. These eggs have a harder shell and brighter yolk than grocery store eggs. Our chickens spend their days free roaming, eating bugs and grass.

We’re in the kitchen cooking up a fresh batch of our smoked pig ears. These are the freshest ears you can buy! We buy the pig ears raw from a local asian market, then we cook them for 18 hours, then we sell them immediately after. You’ll see a clear difference between our ears and the ears that you find at a pet store which have been sitting on the shelf for weeks. We use only ears meant for human consumption and we coat them in a light layer of coconut oil, herbs and liquid smoke (a natural smoky flavoring). We’re currently in the kitchen cooking up some of our signature Liver Bites! The liver is top quality, fresh from pasture raised animals at Tail Feather Farm. The rosemary is picked right from our own plants.

You may notice that our liver bites smell less potent than typical liver treats. All liver has a distinct smell but the fresher the liver, the less “livery” it smells. Don’t worry though, your dog will still find the smell utterly irresistible.

Salt dough can be very dangerous to dogs! They can try to eat it and then end up with salt poisoning.

SALT DOUGH ORNAMENTS ARE TOXIC TO DOGS
Not all dog-owners realize that. Often, families will make these ornaments as an activity together, or they will come home from school with the kids. Some people make paw prints in salt dough as keepsakes.
Only 3 ingredients make these ornaments: salt, flour, and water. Even after being dried and placed as decoration on a tree, the salt dough ornaments are still toxic to dogs. Your dog may end up eating these decorations because they tempt the dog like a cookie does, and, well, dogs will eat many things they should not consume.
We recommend keeping salt-dough ornaments out of houses that have pets. The same holds true for crafting dough which has high salt content too. If you can't keep them out of the house, make sure to keep the ornaments and dough safely away from your pets at all times. But really, why take any chances?
Excess salt intake in dogs results in vomiting within several hours of ingestion. There is great thirst and urination. The clinical signs can progress to weakness, diarrhea, muscle tremors, seizures, coma. Depending on the size of the dog and the amount ingested, salt poisoning can result in brain damage, organ failure, even death, or the heartbreaking decision to put your dog to sleep.
If ingested, seek immediate help from your vet or emergency pet clinic.
